007 | vending machine

The thoughts inside my head have constay been running laps since last night. All these thoughts kept me awake for hours while I tried to sleep. But instead of sleeping I kept rolling around in my bed, hoping the thoughts would disappear. Spoiler warning, it did not.

It resulted in not many hours of sleep and me feeling dead on the inside, but I will survive today's school day which is the most important thing.

While me and Jaehwa walked through the main entrance, I immediately spotted Eunji pushing her body against the vending machine. I poked my elbow against Jaehwa's arm as I pointed at Eunji. We both let out a small chuckle as we started to walk over to her.

"Did it swallow your money?" Jaewha asked her.

"Not mine but someone's" Eunji answered and pointed at the bag of chips that was close to falling down.

We helped her push the vending machine which resulted in the bag of chips falling down. Eunji didn't waste any more seconds and took out the chips bag before anyone else would. The three of us shared the snack while we had a little chat.

In the middle of our conversation, I felt someone's presence getting closer to us. I turned my head and saw Sunghoon and Jay walking towards us. Jay had a smile on his face while Sunghoon had his classic cold face.

"Can we have some?" Jay asked us.

"No" Eunji answered with a light smile.

Jay let out a chuckle as he joined our circle. He suddenly placed his hand against the vending machine, a few centimeters beside my head. I looked up at Jay, seeing how his smile turned into a smirk. I crossed my arms while I tilted my head to the side.

Even though Jay was blocking my view because of the small distance between us, my eyes were still able to find Sunghoon. Sunghoon was standing behind Jay with his hands inside his pockets. He was already looking at me when our eyes met.

"Get a room" Jaehwa suddenly said.

Eunji agreed with Jaehwa, me and Jay left out a chuckle while Sunghoon kept being unbothered. Jay slowly removed his hand from the vending machine and placed it inside his jeans pocket instead, still resting his eyes on me.

Eunji suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me away from Jay. She grabbed Jaehwa as well and the three of us started to walk away from Jay and Sunghoon.

I looked behind me at Jay and Sunghoon as we walked further away from them. They continued to stand next to the vending machine, staring at us while they talked.

"He's acting so weird" Eunji said.

"Jay?" I asked even though it was obvious it was Jay she referred to.

"Yes. It's obvious he wants some sort of game and tries to wrap you around his finger" Eunji replied.

I looked behind me again and saw Jay and Sunghoon were walking behind us but there was a distance separating us and them. In my head it feels like we are being followed by them but in reality Jay and Sunghoon are heading towards the same direction as us.

I wonder if Sunghoon have talked about me with Jay? He must have, or else wouldn't Jay suddenly show interest in me. We haven't talked until now and this was how we had our first interracion.

Sunghoon definitely gave Jay a reason to talk with me which resulted in him acting the way he did.

I placed my hand on the doorknob in our classroom when I suddenly heard someone calling my name. I turned my head to the direction the voice came from and saw one of my classmates Minwoo walking towards us. Minwoo is also our class representative and the guy I threatened on the first day.

"Hi, I just wonder if the three of you would like to wait tables at the school festival next weekend?" Minwoo asked.

"The whole material arts department was gathered up yesterday to discuss plans for the school festival and they asked me if I could ask the three of you to wait tables" Minwoo added.

"Why the three of us?" Jaehwa asked a little confused.

"Not sure, they didn't tell me. But are you going to do it?" Minwoo replied.

"I don't think I will be able to make it because of my part-time job, I'm sorry" Eunji said.

"No, that's fine. What about you two?" Minwoo asked me and Jaehwa.

"I think I can do it" I answered.

"Me too" Jaehwa added.

"Great! We will have our next meeting tomorrow after school so we can meet up at-" Minwoo said with a smile until Jay interrupted him.

"I will join as well" Jay said with a smile on his face.

I looked at Jaehwa and Eunji who looked at me as well. The three of us looked at each other with confused and puzzled facial expressions. I then looked over at Minwoo who had the same facial expression as us meanwhile Jay continued to hold his smile.

"Y-Yeah, sure" Minwoo said with a light chuckle.

"Can I also join?" Sunghoon suddenly asked.

We all kept having the same reaction, except Jay. His smile slowly disappeared after Sunghoon asked if he could join as well. Jay and Sunghoon were now staring into each other's soul.

"Sure" Minwoo answered and smiled lighty.

"Good" Sunghoon replied before he walked past us and walked straight into the classroom.

Jay let out a chuckle and then followed Sunghoon into the classroom. When the two of them got inside, I turned my head back to Minwoo who looked like a question mark. I shrugged my shoulders and so did Jaehwa and Eunji as well.

"We can meet up here actually tomorrow after school since the meeting room is not far away from here, does it sound good?" Minwoo then asked me and Jaehwa.

"Sounds good" I answered and Jaewha nodded along.

This chapter is so boring but I have had such a hard time knowing what to write in this chapter :(
