~Natalie's POV~

"Excuse me?" Vanessa speaks up, looking around at everyone, mainly Cole. "Soulmate sensing? And only my husband and your mother know?" She asks, thus looking at Alex and I. Alex didn't tell her? I told him I already fessed up to Tobias. Why didn't he tell her?

"Okay Ness look, Elias now has the ability to see soulmates. He told us after getting caught with that girl in his bed and at the time, our relationships were just getting back to normal so, Alex and I decided to keep it between only us and our kids." I say, leaving out the obvious. Her expression falls, but then turns confused. "I'm confused, what was the need to keep this from the two of us?" She says, gesturing to her and Tobias, who of which leaned up against the wall and kept his mouth shut. I know him. He's not gonna say anything unless presumed and or asked.

"Because Vanessa," Alex speaks up, rubbing the back of his neck, "My son sees you and Tobias as a pair, as well as Natalie and I." He says right off the bat, throwing me for a spin. If he was just gonna come right out and say it, why didn't he just tell her in private? Tears well up in her eyes, and my heart hurts for her. She then looks at my son. "Is it true?" She asks, sucking it up, "Do you see it now?" She asks differently, and my sons eyes shine bright as he looks at me, his father, Tobias, and Vanessa.

"I'm sorry aunt Ness, but yes. Even now." He answers, and immediately she looks at her husband. She opens her mouth to say something, but then, glances over at my husband. Who of which, wasn't reacting whatsoever. She sets her eyes on him, "Either this doesn't faze you whatsoever, or she already told you about it." She says, having a tear roll. My husband sighs, "She told me. And correct me if I'm wrong but, Natalie also told me she ran that by you awhile go Alex." He brings up, having Vanessa look at me.

"I'm guessing you told Tobias because you don't believe in your sons powers, right? And I'm guessing you two had a little moment and everything huh?" She asks, clearly upset I didn't say anything to her either. "I get you expected Alex to tell me, but it would've been nice to know in general, regardless of the messenger." She looks to Alex, "Speaking of which, why didn't you tell me once you were y'know, given the go ahead?" She asks, giving me a dirty glance. "I just barely got your trust back, forgive me if I wasn't eager to completely destroy that." - "Natalie told Tobias and look at them! They fucking survived!" - "We are not Natalie and Tobias! I am not my brother! Answer me this, if I did actually tell you immediately after Nat gave me the go-ahead, would you or would you not have completely believed it? Matter fact, would you have believed me, if I told you how I don't believe in it either?" He asks, and Vanessa falls silent. "Exactly. My past, who I was, and my name anywhere near Natalie's, still affects you to this day Vanessa, that is why I didn't tell you." He says, looking in her eyes. And all she does, is laugh-scoff, before taking her vigorous leave.

Alex sighs, grabs his jacket and heads after her. "Now that that's out the way." My brother speaks up, and I can see it in his face, he's pissed. "Uncle Miles didn't have the balls huh?" He questions my son, "L-Look uncle Miles', I-I didn't mea-," - "Oh don't take it back now, you said that shit with your whole chest my man. It's alright. You just got it all wrong though, at least when it comes to me." He says, "I didn't say anything because I didn't want to. Not because I was afraid to." He adds, and my heart hurts further, realizing my brother relates to my son. "I read so many articles about how my sister could stop bullets and close chasms with her mind and my how my brother could see and show the future and I was just their other sibling. I don't mind that for the simple fact not everyone enjoys the spotlight. But uh, I'm glad you brought it up though, cuz like Eli said," he pauses, "that attention you wanted is about to smack you upside the head." He finishes, fist-pounding with Elias. And I go ahead and do that myself, "Ow!" - "That was for the shot at my brother. Now tell me why you didn't come and talk to me or your father about this baby." - "You know why." - "Clearly I don't." - "Well, guess harder." He responds, and my eyes widen at my son. "Excuse me?" My husband speaks up, given I was basically in shock. That's the first time he's ever spoken to me like that.
