"Did you happen to find your family when you came back?"
"Nope. I'm guessing you didn't either"
"Where did they go?"
"I don't know. What did you do once you came back?"
"I didn't run into any cops. I actually got to walk right home."
"Were there cops in your house?"
"Nope."
"That makes no sense. Why wouldn't they have been waiting?"
"The dates probably aren't accurate to when we got back. It's not like we were born on the same day."
"What's the date?"
"Based on the trajectory of the moon and the sun, I'd say we need a calendar."
"Or I could look at my phone."
"Yeah, that would probably work."
"It's February 25th. I was born in January."
"It's been 3 weeks since I turned 18."
"So all the local cops were probably called over from their positions to my house after my sighting in Manhattan."
"How many were there?"
"Eight."
"That seems like overkill."
"Hey, I did totally beat the life out of them."
"So they were just short on officers."
"I wonder how many of us they actually captured."
"It couldn't be that many if you practically killed them."
"Why do they even try capturing us if that happens every time?"
"Some might not have given up a fight. They might have given themselves in because they think they're life is over and they have nothing to live for."
"That's so dumb. Who in their right mind would give themselves up to be in the military to fight a war that people don't even know exist?"
