•Chapter Nine•

(Ivy's POV)

I wake up, opening my eyes groggily and sit up straight. I'm back in my plain white bedroom and Liam sits at the foot of the bed. Memories come flooding back in.

"Where's Jade?" I demand.

"Back at her house," Liam replies calmly.

I frown. "What'd you do to her?"

"After we knocked you out, we went back in her house and cleaned up the mess," Liam says. "My idea, by the way."

Jade said Liam was the sensitive, kind boy of the group; I can kind of see that now.

"We decided to knock her out too," Liam continues. "We laid her in her bed and erased her memory."

"You what?!?" I stare at him, wide eyed.

"Don't worry," Liam says, smiling kindly. "We only erased from when you went over to when we knocked her out. When she wakes, she'll forget the whole 'One Direction kidnapping her best friend' catastrophe."

I groan and lay back down in bed, pulling the covers over my head.

"I notice you're not trying to run away," Liam comments.

"I've given up," I say, my voice muffled by the blankets. "You guys catch me each time; what's the point?"

Liam says nothing for a bit. Then, breaking the silence, he suggests, "Do you want to see the clothes we got you?"

"Sure," I say, getting out of bed and waiting for Liam.

"They're in your closet already," Liam says, gesturing to the closet door.

"Oh." I walk over and open the door. Inside is a walk in closet. I glance behind me and Liam nods as if saying "go on in!"

I walk in hesitantly, then close the door behind me. I flip the light switch on, and inhale sharply.

The place is filled with clothes! I've never been one of those girls who's obsessed with clothes, but the sight of this takes my breath away. And the best thing is, it's my kind of style too! No short-shorts, bra showing t-shirts, no skirts; only jeans, sweaters and regular t-shirts.

The boys also bought me some bras and undies. That must have been awkward.

I walk forward, looking around. I also notice they bought me some new shoes and socks.

"Do you like it?" Liam asks. I didn't realize he was here.

"No," I say quietly, turning to see Liam. His smile is wiped off his face. "That's because I love it!" I run over to hug him. He seems startled. "Thank you!"

"It wasn't just me," he says, sounding embarrassed but pleased. "But you're welcome."

"Now, can you get out?" I ask. "I'm going to change."

Liam nods and leaves.

I pick out a peach t-shirt that says "I don't want to just read books, I want to climb inside them and live there," a pair of jeggings decorated with flowers and socks with bubbles. Then I change.

I change my bra and underwear, then slip into my jeans and shirt. They're a bit big, but not too baggy.

I pick up my dirty clothes and, before throwing them down the newly discovered laundry chute, I take the bobby pin from the back pocket of the jeans. I might need it.

As I'm walking out, I grab a panda sweater with little ears on the hood and slip it over my head.

Liam is waiting for me. When I walk out, he says, "Are you hungry?"
