•Chapter Eleven•

(Ivy's POV)

I wake up in my own bed. Strange... Was me being kidnapped by One Direction just a dream?

I walk down the stairs to the kitchen. I'm alone. My parents are in Florida. I look at the calendar pinned to the fridge. According to it, today is Saturday. Sweet.

I pour myself some cereal and begin eating happily. Then I hear noises. I freeze, and the noises come again.

I fumble for something hard. My hands come upon my dad's baseball bat. I approach the sound slowly, gripping the baseball bat tightly. I peek my head around the doorway leading to the living room.

Inside, two people wearing black robber hats and black clothes are trying to remove the tv. I accidentally step on a squeaky floorboard and the people both stop what they're doing and look at me.

"Looks like someone's home," one of them says. They're male. He slowly approaches me, taking something out of his pocket that gleams in the rays of sunshine streaming through the partly closed windows. A knife.

I grip my baseball bat tightly, getting ready to swing, when I realize I'm not holding it anymore. Where the heck did it go?!?

The guy reaches me and pushes me up against the wall behind me, bringing the knife to my throat. "Any last words?" he hisses.

I gulp, feeling the knife digging into my tender skin. "Why?" I whisper.

The guy hesitates. "Why what?"

"Why are you doing this?"

"Can't have any witnesses." The guy smiles cruelly.

I open my mouth to scream, but no sound comes out. Then the guy slashes his knife across my throat, and everything goes dark.

"Ivy!" Someone's shaking me. "Ivy, wake up!"

I sit up straight, breathing heavy. "What's wrong?" I look over to see the five boys staring, concerned, at me.

"I don't know," Louis says, shaking his head in confusion. "We heard screaming so we all ran in here to find you thrashing around."

My nightmare rushes into my head and I shudder. How did I even think about that?

"It was just a nightmare," I explain. "It's ok, I'm fine. Can you leave now?"

The boys back out of the room reluctantly.

I walk to the washroom and turn the shower on. I strip, then step in, adjusting the heat. I wash and shave, then spend a couple extra minutes thinking. So, my parents left for Florida for two weeks... How long ago? I make a mental note to ask one of the boys what today is. Back to the thinking: I went to school like any normal day, but then I got kidnapped by One Direction. They brought me to the hotel they were staying in. I woke up in a strange room, then tried to run away. I was caught. I tried to run away a second time, but was caught again. Then I tried a third time and went to Jade's house. I told her everything, then the boys found me, erased Jade's memory, knocked me out then brought me back here. Then yesterday, I cleaned the hotel room up, we went out to Nando's and the park, then I fell asleep.

Wow. All that happened to me, Ivy Rose. I'm not even special or anything!

I step out of the shower, wrap a towel around me and hurry to the closet. I pick out a plain red t-shirt, navy blue pants and a blue-purple sweater. I find green turtle socks and put them on.
