Wedding of the Century

I smile waking up next to Sonic the day of the wedding. No one else but us knows that we have already exchanged our vows and sealed it during long night of blissful ecstasy. Something changed between us and it felt amazing. I yawn as I nuzzle between his neck and held his back against my chest. I felt so happy and safe yet the fear still lingers in the back of my mind.

I got up to walk around the pack house that is completely busy getting everything ready for the ceremony. "Oh Lord Knuckles I had no idea you awoken are you hungry?" Mallory smiled. "It's ok and No I'm good" I smiled and she bows before heading back into the kitchen. I decided to head into the study to get away from the craziness. I looked around the pictures of the family that came before Sonic. I started scanning the books on the large bookshelf until I found a book I haven't seen in a long time. I pulled the book off the shelf and dusted it off walking to the chair. The smell of the pages brings me back to when I first read this and begin to get lost in the story. The world of the story took so much time I didn't realize it was almost time to get ready for the big day until Tails tapped the book making me look up. "Sorry sir but you need to get ready the ceremony is in an hour" "oh shit I didn't realize thank you" I hurried back to our room where Sonic was already dressed. "Where you go?" He smirked. "The study where I got lost in a good book" I smiled putting on my attire. I felt his arms wrap behind me and lick the back of my neck making me sigh. "Ya know we got 35 minutes to spare Wanna have some fun before we walk down?~" he said in that seductive voice I couldn't resist. I turned to look at him and pushed him on our bed. "That answer your question?~" I smirked crawling on top and kisses him.

I felt like I'm on cloud nine hearing the officiant's announcement of our marriage. Our families rejoiced in happiness as we made our way back down the isle. In this moment everything was perfect. We didn't have a reception so Sonic and I retired to our room for some more blissful sex. My nightmare didn't come true and I'm so happy. When I woke up the next morning Sonic wasn't in bed but he left me a note saying he will be right back with a surprise. I didn't mind and kept myself snuggled up under the warm sheets. When I woke up again Sonic was reading the same book I was in the study. "You like that story too?" I smiled. "It's my favorite also here" he gives me a envelope. I look inside and see plane tickets. "Since you mentioned you wanted to see Italy and I never been outside the mortal world much I thought it would be a nice experience" he smiled and I hugged him. "I can't wait!" I said excitedly. "We leave next week" he kisses my cheek and continues to read. After awhile I decided to head into town to grab some take out since sonic never had any before. It was later than I wanted to but Sonic was supposed to be done with his royal duties in an hour. As I walked to the restaurant I hear fast footsteps coming behind me.

When I turn to look I saw a flash of green and everything went black.
