A/n This is like part 2 for the Who is Reggie's best friend, but telling you why Alex stopped talking to Reggie during middle school. Also all of the middle school experiences on this fanfic are based on what I've experienced in middle school.

"Hey Alex?" Julie suddenly asked.

"Yeah?" Alex said, look up from his drums. The others looked at her as well.

"Is what Luke said true?" Julie asked. Alex looked at her, confused.

"What did Luke say?" Alex asked her, perplexed.

"About you stopped talking to Reggie in middle school," she said. They fell silent.

"I guess there's no more hiding it since well, I'm dead," Alex started. Luke and Reggie give a soft chuckle.

"It was 1990 - 1991 when it started..."

*Flashback!*

"Alex!" Alex's mom yelled. Alex groaned, but rolled out of bed.

"Yes?" Alex said as he walked down the stairs.

"So about your friend," His dad started.

"Reggie? What's wrong with him?" Alex asked, concerned. Yes, Alex makes fun of him a lot, but he really loves him and cares for him. His parents looked at each other then back at him.

"We just... don't think he's a good influence to you," His mom said, "If we wanna keep being this perfect family, you need to stop being friends with him,".

"NO!" Alex yelled. He was not gonna stop being friends with Reggie just because his parents to him too. Reggie is the nicest and kind person Alex has ever met, he doesn't understand why his parents don't think that he's a good influence.

"You don't have a choice, Alexander," His dad said, "Unless you want to switch schools,".

"You can't do that!!" Alex screamed, "You promised that I won't switch schools anymore!".

"We know, but this is for you own good," His mom said. Alex couldn't stand them anymore. He ran back to bedroom, not caring that his parents were shouting his name and rhat he would be late for school.

At school, Reggie waited for Alex. Just like he did everyday. But not today. Alex didn't come in during first and second period. Reggie was looking everywhere during break until he bumped into a boy.

"Hey!" The boy said.

"Sorry..." Reggie mumbled, walking away.

"Hey! Sorry, for kinda bursting out on you," The boy told him. He heald out his hand.

"My name is Luke, by the way," the boy, Luke, said to Reggie.

"Reggie," He said, shaking Luke's hand. As Reggie shook his hand, he kept looking around for Alex.

"Are you looking for someone?" Luke asked him.

"Yeah, just looking for my best friend, Alex Mercer?" Reggie said.

"Oh right! I heard he was absent today," Luke said.

"Oh..." Reggie said. He always sat next to Alex in all of his classes. They got their schedules changed to have the same classes. And they also have the same electives: Band and choir, both one whole school year long. But Luke also has the same schedule as them. He also asked for a schedule change, but wasn't that picky about which class his was in.

"Do you want to sit next to me in all of our classes, so, you know, you're not alone?" Luke asked. Reggie nodded happily.

*End of Flashback!*

"And from then on I was forced to ignore him up until high school," Alex concluded.

"How did you guys make up?" Julie asked. The guys burst put laughing.

"Now, that's a story for another time," Reggie said.
