Memories are all that's left.

Waking up from another dream, Layla try's stopping her tears keyword "try's".
After 10 minutes of talking to herself, Layla decides to get ready for her day.

"Hey Alexa,play some music"
90s RnB started to play,ever since Layla  was little she loved listening to music,her mom would sing to her whenever they were making breakfast and eventually she would join in.

After making breakfast for herself,she quickly said a prayer and began eating, Layla was a foodie,she would eat whenever she was feeling down,she honestly doesn't know how she keeps her body the way it was,she thanks her mom for having amazing genes not that she really cared about body sizes or anything.
She believed that everyone was made beautifully whether black,white,tall,short,slim or thick,and that's how her mama taught her to appreciate everything in life.

After finishing her food and doing the dishes, she goes to brush her teeth and take a shower.

She gets a call while in the shower,deciding to ignore it she finishes showering and doing her morning routine.
Checking her phone she sees that it's her best friend,just as she was about to return the call another FaceTime call from her best friend enters.

"Sofia,why you calling me so early" I asked with a smile.

"Girl, I know you did not just ignore my call the first time,what if I was in danger,what if I was in an accident or what If_" she said before I cut her off.

"Sof,I was just about to return the call I promise"I said with an eye roll.

Sofia sighs,"okay whatever,guess what?" She said.

"What? Are you pregnant?" I asked with a grin.

"Hahaha,no not yet, it's Friday!!!!" She said smiling.

Layla knows exactly what Sofia meant, she had promised her that they would attend a fund raising party that her fiancé Ryan was invited to.
Sofia knew Layla was a homebody but she actually wanted her friend to get out and have some fun and maybe get herself a man.

"So I'm actually driving to your place right now, so we can start getting ready"Sofia said.

"Sof,the party doesn't start till 8 plus can't I cancel just today I'll make it up to you". I said with the best poppy eyes I could ever do.

"Girl,I'm just around the corner and we have some catching up to do" she said laughing.

And just like that,we caught up with whatever's been happening,Sofia had been on a trip with Ryan for two weeks and she told me how she had the best time with Ryan, I also told her about how the dreams were back again,we shed a few tears before deciding to order some pizza while we watched a show.

"I can't wear this sof, cmon" I said holding up the dress Sofia insisted I wear.
"Girl Ryan just called his gonna be here in 5,you have to wear this"Sofia said as she puts on her heels.

I rolled my eyes putting on the dress, and as I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn't agree more with Sofia,

I did look amazing,leave it to Sofia to have you looking fine as hell.
The bell rings and i go to let Ryan in.

Sofia and Ryan are like the power couples,they've been together since college and when Ryan finally asked Sofia to marry him, I couldn't be more happier for the two.

"Hey Layla, good to see you" Ryan said giving me a hug.

" hey Ry,how's it going?"i said hugging him back

"Been good,missed seeing you around" he said smiling.

"That's because she be hibernating, Hey babe" Sofia said giving a kiss to Ryan.

"No, I've just been busy with work"I said laughing. 

"Yeah right"Sofia said laughing as well.

Smiling at the two best friends Ryan says "okay ladies,let's get this party started"
"Yes!!!" Sofia said walking out the door.

Walking towards Ryan's car I can't decide whether I should go with my own car just Incase I plan on going home early so I don't disturb Ryan and Sofia or should I just go in his car hoping to enjoy the night.

"Cmon Laylay"Sofia calls out to me.
Deciding on the latter,I join Ryan's car.
