Chapter 8

The room fills with silence as the three of us look at each other. All wondering who it could be, we didn't order any delivery, nor did we invite anyone else. I take quick steps towards my door and look the peep hole, Merida. I take a breath and open the door.

"Oh hey Merida, what's up...?" " Hey Elsa, I was just wondering if you had 3 eggs to spare? I ran out in the middle of the batch of cookies I was making." "Yea definitely" I answer, gesturing for her to come in She follows me to the kitchen," by the way these are my friends, Anna and Punzie." I introduce as the fridge opens "Hey I'm Merida!" Both the girls reply with hey in unison. "You know I some spots open for people looking to assist in baking" Merida chuckles. The three of us share a look, and then slowly start to all nod. "We'd love to!" I reply.

Next thing you know we are upstairs in Merida's cozy apartment baking cookies. Even though we all pretty much just met, we get along fairly well. So well by the time we were decorating we had to make it a competition, blondes vs. redheads. Not to brag or anything but we won.

Who would've thought that in less than a week I would have three new friends who I'd like to say are the best I've ever had but that would be unfair to the bitch in high school that back stabbed me on graduation day after four years of friendship.

Once the last batch was decorated we all laid back in Merida's living room, talking and drink a glass of wine. I think I might be turning into an alcoholic... Just kidding I would hope I would never ever become one. The conversation died down as Anna was in the washroom. I take the silence as a chance to ask Merida about Hiccup.

"So... what's up with you and Hiccup?... If you don't mind me asking." I say the last sentence a bit quieter.

"oh... um wait how'd you know about him?" She answered

"So it is something important. Well if you must know I let him in the building the other morning."

"Oh, I guess that explains how he got to my door. Um well I guess he's important... He's really sweet and nice..." Merida sheepishly answered

"What's the dirt though?" Anna asked walking in from the bathroom.

"N-not-thing the-e-ere is n-no-o dirt-t, it's clean, squeaky clean." She stuttered.

"Ooo that means they did the nasty!!" Punzie added.

"HELL to the NO!!! NO he just came by and returned my phone. And we kissed.." Merida answered and the last part was super quiet.

We all stare at her with huge grins. We don't say anything because we are all so tired now and Merida is being a bit shy on the topic of Hiccup.

I let out a small yawn and three other yawns follow mine. We are all tired.

"Well this was a successful Baking experience, but I should get going... it's getting late and I have a *yawn* thing tomorrow." I say standing up and stretching.

Anna and Punzie stand up and nod, " Ya me too.." "I agree"

"Thanks a lot Merida for the night... we'll see ya later" I say goodbye for Punzie and Anna.

We all share a hug with Merida and walk out the door towards the elevator. Once the elevator doors close Punzie asks if she can crash at my place.

"Uh ya forsure, Anna, you staying too?" I reply
