AFTER PARTY
All of the after parties were all the same, but it didn't stop us from attending them. After the scare I had with Renee, then the fight with those other girls, I was in desperate need of something in my system that would make me feel good. I needed to relax, cool down and just forget, even if it was only for one night. Drinking was the only release I had because I choose not to do anything else. Usually I was good at not going overboard. I knew my limit and I kept myself in check. I heard too many stories of girls getting taken advantage of at parties and I never wanted to be one of those girls. I had been through enough and I really didn't think I could handle another guy putting their hands on me. However, tonight was a different story. All of my rules were thrown out the window and dissolved like dust. For once in my life I needed to know that not all guys were like Renee and tonight I wasn't scared to find out.
After numerous cans of beer, countless shots and many games of beer Pong, I was free. I was determined to end this night on a good note, a new beginning. Starting with the sexy guy that stayed in the corner talking with his friend, but keeping a watchful eye on me. I had seen a couple of homegirls walk up to him and they exchanged words but they didn't stay long. His gaze followed me and never left my body. He knew I needed this without me having to tell him. When we got to Paco's place he told me to have fun and he would look out for me. Then he said to find him when I was done and wanted to be alone with him. He had already saved me once tonight, so I trusted him to make sure nothing happened to me. He made me feel safe and protected. So at this party I decided to let myself fall and hopefully he will catch me again.
I heard someone scream about another round of shots and I made my way to the kitchen. Yuca stayed in the corner of the living room, leaning against the wall. When I had got to the kitchen that's when I had seen that Paco was the one yelling about the drinks. My girls were already there waiting for me.
Paco lined up a bunch of shot glasses and poured the drink in them, leaving a huge mess on the counter.
"Everyone grab a glass. I'm gonna make a toast." Paco slurred.
"Why do you want to eat bread?" Carol asked confused.
We all laughed except Vic, who just rolled her eyes.
"He wants to make a speech before we take the shot. How many drinks have you had?" Vic said.
"Three." But Carol held up five fingers.
"You've had more than three. None of y'all can hold your liquor."
"Can we hurry with this speech so I can take the shot. I have to pee." Sylvia whined hopping from one foot to the other.
"I swear you are worse than a damn Chihuahua. Always gotta be peeing everywhere." I laughed.
"You pee on my floor, you will clean it up!" Paco yelled. Which I'm sure if she did pee on the floor, no one would notice.
"Shot! Shot! Shot! Shot!" Carol chanted throwing her hands above her head, waving them around.
"Okay, okay, okay. Shut up and let me talk." Paco turns serious.
We nodded, Carol saluted him and he cleared his throat.
"I would like to make a speech, not a toast, you know, just to make sure that we all understand. That one day all of you girls find your soul mates. Soul mates that have cars. So I don't have to be your taxi anymore because you never fucking tip me! But I love you girls anyways, even though you never give me gas money!"
