I swear I am never shopping another day in my life. I thought to myself. If I didn't sit down soon I promise you my feet are going to fall off.
"Why do you look like your about to cry?" Carol eyed me suspiciously.
"My feet hurt." Saying almost annoyed. I was having a great time till my feet felt like they wanted to run away from my legs.
"Is it that or is it because lover boy hasn't called you all day?"
"He hasn't called because I asked him not to call." Sticking my tongue out at her.
We were standing inside a shoe store while Vic was trying to find the perfect shoes for her dress. This was our last stop for the afternoon and for that I was ecstatic. We've been at the mall since ten this morning and as I took a glance at my watch I almost fainted on the spot. It was almost six p.m.
I looked out of the store to see the mall was pretty empty and spotted some benches that were by the railing outside of the store.
"Hey Vic I will wait for you outside." I shouted to her.
She nodded her head briefly as she was looking in the mirror at some gold shiny high heels that she had on her feet.
I sighed happily when I sat on the bench and dropping my bags next to me on the floor.
Online shopping will be my BFF.
"What the fuck. I turned around and you were gone, damn. You couldn't tell me you were leaving."
I smirked at Carol as she sat next to me on the bench. Pushing me a little so I could give her more room.
"I thought you heard me tell Vic I was coming outside."
"No. I guess you told Vic when Sylvia was asking me about the shoes she had on."
"I don't know they have so much energy to be on their feet all day."
"They say it's a gift."
I leaned my head on the railing and closed my eyes briefly as I heard Carol type away on her phone.
"Tell Paco I said hi." I smiled. Knowing damn well that she could keep that secret from her sisters, but I figured it out a long time ago.
"Oh, shut up."
"Why haven't you told your sisters you and Paco are dating."
"Because I don't know if it's going to work out and I don't want to hear their shit if it doesn't." She said as she starred at her now blank phone.
"I don't think they would rub it in your face."
"Well, I don't want to give them the chance."
I shook my head at her, but didn't press her anymore. She always kept secrets from her sisters, while the other two didn't really care who knew their business. Carol always kept the things that were near and dear to her closely guarded from her family. I just never knew why.
"So have you and Yuca had sex yet?"
"Really? You're going to ask me that like its nothing?"
"Why beat around the bush? I already know things between you guys are good. I see it every fucking day, but what I don't know is if you two have slept together."
"No." I simply said. I mean, why beat around the bush with an answer?
"What? Why?" She asked in disbelief. Was it bad that I wasn't surprised by her response?
