Riley's POV

I slowly laid Damien's phone back onto the towel, making sure that I don't draw too much attention to myself.

Every thought I had of Damien was now making me sick. A drug dealer was a far cry from a lawyer.

"Stop! Stop!" Addison shrieks with laughter when Damien tries to tickle her. I couldn't even look at Damien straight anymore. I didn't see him as my boyfriend anymore. I seen him as a drug dealer. And right now, the sleazy drug dealer had his hands on my daughter.

"I think you should get out of the water now!" I yell out, trying to sound as calm as possible.

"But we just started having fun!" Addison whines. Damien quickly picks her up, tosses her over his shoulder and carries her out of the water.

"Damien!" She squeals.

"Put her down." I order sternly.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asks, carefully putting Addison back down on the ground.

"I want to go home." I tell him.

"Oh, alright. Let's just go back, pack up real quick and we can go, okay?" He responds.

"Okay." I reply. He goes into hug me but I quickly turn away and grab Addison's hand instead.

~~~~~
"Can we all go on vacation again?" Addison asks on the drive back home.
I was being as quiet as possible, having as little contact as possible with Damien as I possibly could. I just stared out the window.
"Of course we will Addy. When do you want to go?" He asks her.
"Tomorrow!" She replies. He chuckles.
"I don't think we can go tomorrow hun." He replies. I kept my mouth shut. Which Damien seems to notice.
"Why are you being so quiet babe?" He asks, putting a hand on my knee. I quickly swat it away.
"I'm fine." I reply, keeping my eyes out the window.
"Is Damien staying for supper tonight?" Addison asks me.
"Yeah, am I staying for supper?" He asks.
"I'm sure Damien got lots of work to do. Being a lawyer is a lot of work." I tell her, practically biting me cheek to keep myself from saying anything else.
~~~~~

When we finally get home, Damien offers to help me with my bag. Addison runs into the house with her own, but I tell her I need to talk to Damien outside.

"So, what do you need to talk about?" He asks.

"Since when does selling pot have to do with being a lawyer?" I inquire.

"What? I have no idea-"

"Cut the act Damien. I know about your little drug dealing business. What is it, a side job or something? Or are you really a lawyer?" I question. H sighs heavily.

"Fine. I'm not a lawyer. I depend on selling drugs as my full time job." He replies.

"What happened to no more secrets, huh? You got mad at me for not telling you on our first date that I have a daughter, yet you tell me that you're a lawyer, but really you're a drug dealer, which I may add, is illegal!" I exclaim.

"Okay, I know it looks bad-"

"Bad? No, it's wonderful Damien!" I snap sarcastically. He's left speechless.

"Have you done drugs before?" I ask.

"Yes, I have. I still do sometimes, but I swear Riley, I got it handled, and I can quit anytime! I'm not an addict, I swear!" He replies.

"Quit what, taking drugs or selling them?" I ask.

"I can't quit my job. It's my only income." He replies.

"There are lots of other jobs Damien." I reply, growing furious.

"But this is well paid! I can't just give that up!"

"Either give that up, or give this up, our relationship!" I growl. "Choose."

"Riley! You can't do this!"

"Yes I can. I have a five year old daughter! I can't have her around a drug dealing and drug taking person! What if she accidental gets into that stuff? Then what?" I question.

"Please don't to this Riley." He begs.

"Are you going to clean up your act? For real?" I ask. He sighs and shakes his head.

"I just can't do that. So no." He replies.

"Then it's done. We're done." I state. He doesn't say anything. He knows he can't. I take my bag from him and go into the house. I look out the window and watch him get in his car, and finally drive away.
