James's POV

I wake up in my room. How did I get here? I barely remember anything. But I do know that I have a terrible headache.

I groan, getting out of bed, my head throbbing. I walk down the stairs and to the kitchen.

"Jesus Christ!" I exclaim when I see Jacob sitting at the table.

"Hey." He says dully.

"How the hell did you get in here? And when?" I question.

"Last night. You got totally wasted at that reunion thing, West and Eldon brought you home and called mom to tell her that you shouldn't be left alone. So she sent me out here to watch you." He explains.

"Great choice." I mutter sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

"Hey, I would be pretty grateful right about now. God only knows what would happen if you were left alone. I don't even remember how many times you tried to leave, saying that you had to go see Riley." He replies.

"I did?" I ask.

"Yeah. You kept on doing that and saying you loved her, and that Riley can't find out about the bet." He tells me.

"I did?" I ask again.

"Can you remember anything from last night?" He questions he. I think long and hard before a blurry memory appears.

"Yeah. I started dancing with Riley. But when I tried to kiss her, she says no. And then I kept drinking and drinking. And then I hit on Riley and then...Oh Jesus I screwed everything up with Riley again! Damn it!" I cry out in frustration.

"Just apologize man. It might not completely help, but at least it will look like you care." He says.

"Yeah, I know. But she'll probably just slam the door in my face." I sigh.

"So what if she does? You San still say that you tried. That's better then being a complete jerk and doing nothing." He says.

"You're right. I'll apologize." I agree.

"Perfect."

"But can you do me a favour?" I ask.

"Sure, what is it?"

"Can you come with me?"

~~~~~
"I can't believe I agreed to doing this." Jacob mutters, standing next to me in front of Riley's door.
"Relax." I say, knocking on the door. I grin hugely when Riley answers.
"Hey." I greet happily.
"Hi..." She responds.
Well, here goes nothing.
