"We can have our wedding anywhere in the world. And Sprite suggests on top of Kilimanjaro? Really?"
I smile and nod saying "The views would be pretty amazing. Where would you suggest?"
She motions to around us signing "right here. Where we met, and have been together for many years."
Her hand reaches for mine and I sway my body towards her, wanting to just come to an agreement
Her lips press to my palm and she sighs to me. She shakes her head and I chew on my top lip out of nerves saying "Maybe we should just wait until after Sersi and Ikaris have their wedding."
She runs a hand down her face, shaking her head signing "That's not an option. We deserve this title now. I don't want to wait any longer to not be tied to you for life. We've waited in the shadows too long, we deserve our wedding to happen now."
I nod and say "I'll tell sprite to keep it simple. Small. All that matters is that we're together and I'm not a sopping cry baby down the isle."
Makkari smiles passionately, leaning towards me, her arms looping around me as she presses her nose to mine, she shakes her head, giving me an Inuit kiss
My arms tighten around her as I pull her closer with a growing grin
"It's nice to be this close."
Makkari nods as she presses her lips to my lips and slowly places her lips on my neck and surrounding skin
I laugh as my head falls back and I feel the chilled feeling up my spine
Makkari hugs me tightly and I rest my head on her shoulder as my hands slowly rub circles into her back as my fingers run down the skin
She pulls her head back to look to me with a telling look as her smirk spreads widely
I roll my eyes as we say more just looking at each other than we've said the moments before
"Once
"She's going to bother me about this isn't she?"
"Yup. Definitely."
"Great.."
4 long weeks later:
A committed life together is something we've wanted for so long.
To have that within reach, to have it set in stone. A promise to each other that we'll be there to have and to hold each other for eternity was something we craved and desired
