The Lucky Charm

He kept smiling at me. He started to eat the other skewer. I looked at his bandages wondering if the scratches are gone. The medicine should be immediate.

"Would you mind if I took of your bandages?"

I didn't want it to be weird. Still stuffing his mouth he nodded. I sat next to him starting to unwrap his arm that was covered with bandages. They were gone. Seems it worked. I knew it would be fine without Barbara.

"It seems your scratches have healed"

He swallowed what he was eating and looked at me

"Thank you! I couldn't thank you more! Is there anything you'd like? Altho my bad luck won't make it better"

he mumbled the last part barely loud enough I could hear it. I looked at him confused. Could he be the boy that I've heard by other adventurers that they regret joining a team that had the bad luck boy? I looked at him worried.

"It's ok I don't need anything! I'm just glad your ok"

I smiled at him cheerfully. He doesn't seem so bad. Maybe he'd like to be my friend? I opened my mouth to ask but he beat me to it.

"Can we be friends though?" He asked cheerfully.

"Of course!" I answered in a sweet voice.

He jumped up from the bed and looked at me with starry filled eyes. He started to jump up and down like and excited child. I couldn't help but laugh at his childish trait. It was kinda cute to be honest. After a couple of days after the incident we started to do more adventures together.

It was very fun we even practiced fighting. We made an excellent team. We made a lot of melt damage considering that he used pryo and I used cryo. We got closer the more we spent together always being there for each other. He kept saying that he was glad his bad luck doesn't effect me.

He did always seem to get flung back by his attacks. He did get hurt a lot considering he's an amazing fighter. He still smiled to what ever happened to us. I wanted to explore even more... maybe out of Monstadt. I'll have to ask him one day.
