"Drop it,” A voice commands. I turn around to see a young girl with dark hair wearing a bandana to cover the majority of her face standing behind us, a pistol pointed at Jorge.
Jorge hesitates to drop the switch for a moment, probably wondering if we’ll have time to get away if he pulls the trigger now.
“Now!” The girl yells out as another girl with light blonde hair comes to stand by her side, also pointing a gun in our faces. Jorge continues to hesitate for some reason.
“I said drop it!” This time, Jorge complies and slowly puts the trigger on the ground.
“On your feet, let’s go,” The girl with dark hair orders. We slowly put up our hands and stand to our feet.
“Move! Back up!” The girl continues to shout at us as we back up to where the others have come out from behind the cars with their hands up as well.
“Don’t be stupid, move!” The girl shouts yet again. Does she have anger management issues or something?
The girl's eyes soften for a moment as she looks at something behind us. Lowering her gun slightly, she pulls down her bandana.
“Aris?” She questions, causing us all to turn our attention to the scrawny boy standing behind us. His eyes widen in recognition.
“Oh my gosh, Harriet?” Aris rushes towards the girl before they both envelop each other in a tight hug.
“Sonya,” Aris greets the blonde girl with a smile and a hug.
“Aris you’re lucky we didn’t shoot you,” She mutters.
We all watch the three of them reunite with confused gazes. Should we still be holding up our hands or are we friends now…?
“What’s happening?” Minho questions, confusion etched across his face.
“We were in the maze together,” Aris replies with a bright grin. I’ve never seen him this happy before.
Harriet steps back and lets out a loud whistle.
“We’re clear guys. Come on out!” She yells out to their friends on the other side.
All around the top of the mountain sides, armed people start to appear. They had us completely surrounded. There is no way Jorge’s bomb idea could’ve worked.
The girls lead us around the abandoned cars and through a tunnel, revealing a couple of jeeps and armed guys standing around. This must be the Right Arm.
I walk near the back of the group, next to Brenda, as the girls continue to lead us forwards.
I hear the sounds of ragged breaths and realise it’s coming from Brenda.
