"Knight gets to leave the hospital today." Princess whispered to herself. "Only a few more hours until he's back home." She whispered to herself again. She was sitting in the hospital's seat waiting to be allowed in the room, next to Pistachio, Madeleine and Espresso. Madeleine looked like he had been crying for a while, but he had since calmed down.

Then the doctor came out. "He is open for visitation." Everyone quickly entered the room. The room was fairly small with a bed, medical equipment, and a couple of chairs and there was Knight on the bed. He sat up right when everyone came in.

It was silent for the most part, other than a few questions here and there. There just was nothing to say, except that one burning question.

Finally, the doctor came back in to say that it was time for visitors to leave the room.

And eventually, about a week later, Knight was allowed to go home.

"Sorry for cry so much, I had was the worse weeks of life that I'm just so happy you're here with me." Madeleine hugged him tight. It was funny, Knight almost died and he was the one comforting someone.

Knight had noticed how Espresso's things wasn't in Madeleine's house anymore. Knight noticed how Madeleine looked like he had cried for a while. Knight noticed how Madeleine stumbled over his usually confident words. Knight noticed it all. But he wouldn't say a thing because he cared. "I'm sorry Knight, I just.."

"No. Don't call me that, just call me by my name." Knight hugged him a bit harder.

"Sorry, Buttercream." Buttercream sighed.

"No need to apologize." Madeleine let go of Buttercream, opting to sit next to him and look at the ground. They sat there in silence. Then Madeleine spoke up.

"How will you move on?" Buttercream took a deep breath.

"I'm not sure. All I know is that, things will get better." Buttercream would be right.

In the future, Buttercream wouldn't be a knight no more, but he would own a small shop. But he will see Pitaya be praised and he will never be able to tell him story.

But hey. As people said before him. "Life is a pie, you don't know what slice you'll get."

Buttercream looked at Madeleine and smiled.

"Just Take a Slice."
