Chapter 23- The Proposal and The Dare

Killian's POV

"I want to propose to Emma." As I say those words, I hear spitting and coughing on the other end of the talking device. "*cough* Holy shit!*cough* I- have been waiting- for you to say*cough x2* that- ever since you guys announced the *cough*baby!" She coughs and pants through the device.

"Hold still I'm still taking measurements and you spit all over me!" I hear another voice on the other end of the line. "Sorry Henry, go get a towel from the kitchen." I hear her say and an mad grunt.

"So you want to propose to Emma, but you don't know how to surprise her in doing it right?" She says.

"How did you know I was bloody going to say that?!" I exclaim. "I don't know, I guessed or I knew the favor was going to be some cliché, romantic movie mumbo jumbo." She says in a sarcastic tone.

"Are you bloody going to help me or not?" I sigh. "Yes, I already said I was. So if you want to talk business, you get to my house in 5, got it bye!" She quickly says and hangs up.

I kiss Emma farewell, I told her I was going out for a bit and she smiled and nodded. I get to our reptilian friend and nock on the door.

"COME IN!" A voice screams from inside. I open the door to find a mess of papers and broken items. I walk around the corner to find Rina battling a black book that has disgusting tendrils coming from its pages. She sees me and smashes the book close and hides it behind her back. I just stand there befuddled as I try to say, "What- why- was..." She just smiles and laughs. "Hehehe, well, um, don't mind that, hehe, lets get to work on your proposal." I slowly nod as she puts the book in a case with six others.

She leads me to a sitting room, that has a very comfortable atmosphere, with the dark red painted walls. "So! I already have ideas but first, do you have a ring? If so, may I see it? If your wondering why, it's because I need to know how good we have to make this look." She says and I nod and say "Yes, of course." As I pull the small velvet box out of my jacket. She take a the box and opens it and her large eyes get even larger. "Holy shit! This thing is beautiful and ginormous!" She exclaims and gives it back to me. "Well now we can conferee she is going to love it, now I already wrote out a scenario for you to follow." She says and hands me a piece of paper. I read it for a minute and when I finish, I nod and say, "This plan is perfect." I put on my notorious smirk.

"Awesome! One more thing, when and where?" She asks. I chuckle and look up at her. "Tonight, at the Rabbit Hole. That's the only place where this plan is going to work." I say. She nods and says, "Then let's get you prepared." That's when we get to work.

Phase 1
Emma's POV

I was in the kitchen, making myself a chocolate covered beagle. Even though it's almost 9, I'm still hungry. When it's done I take it to the couch to watch Saturday Night Live when I hear a banging on the door. I groan and get up to answer it when it swings open. A familiar,reptilian head pokes in and smiles widely.

"Hey Emma! Me and the girls are going out to the Rabbit Hole for a good time, wanna come?" Rina says excitedly.

"First, have you've ever heard of knocking?" I begin and Rina nods frantically "Yes, of I have! I did knock, you where too slow." She quickly says and sits on the floor like a dog.

"Second, it's kinda late and I have work in the morning-" I start but get cut off. "Oh come on Emma! It'll be fun! LETS GO!" She says and grabs my jacket and my arm as she sprints on all fours out the door. We get outside and throws me on her back and full on runs through the chilly air. We are there in about 10 seconds flat, never gone that fast in my life. I hop off Rina and go to fix my hair, messed up from my pony ride, I get grabbed by the arm and pulled into the Rabbit Hole.
