Chapter 22- Preperations Must Be Made

Henry's POV

I get to school today, relaxed because I have my idea for the science project. Last night, me and Aunt Rina were discussing the plans for her tail and I drew out the schematic for the design. It's 4th hour and I go to science with a smile in my face. My grandma sees me and smiles back as she greets the other students, as they take a seat.

"Alright class, time to share your ideas for your project. We will go around the room and you will say and show me your idea." She announces and starts at the front of the room and makes her way back to me.

"Alright Henry, I know you might have something clever." She says and I get out the schematic and show it to her.

"Um, this tail design is for my aunt so she can fly again, I took notes on her tail and the injury." I say slightly nervous. My grandma looks at the plans and notes I have and nods in approval. "This will help your aunt greatly, you have talked about this with her, right?" She says and I nod. She smiles and says "Good" as she walks to the front of the class.

"So, we have our ideas, now let's take notes and measurements of your subjects, like broken bones, scratches, bruises, birth marks, tattoos, that sort of thing." She explains and turns in my direction. "Henry, you already have a head start, but you need the whole set, meaning more then the tail." She says and I say "Got it." She laughs and people get to work.

The bell rings and I head to my next classes and finish up the day. I get off the bus to be greeted by Hook who says he will take me home. We get home and my mom was making dinner with a familiar face watching her.

"Oh, hello Snowrina, didn't know you were here?" Hook says raising an eyebrow. "Say, what are you doing here." He asks and walks up to the counter. "Emma is teaching me how to cook because..." She laughs but is cut off by my mom. "Because she has been eating microwaveable food and the only thing she knows how to cook are waffles and that's just sad, taking you have been in places where this is no microwaves." She chuckles and Rina sighs. "Yeah, well..." She says rolling her eyes. "At least I don't eat all the ice cream in the fridge." Rina says, crossing her arms and smirking. "Hey! Don't judge me! I'm pregnant for Christ sake!" Mom yells and Rina, now laughing, retorts. "Dude, you had 2 large buckets of ice cream in there and it was all gone in a day!"

Mom and Rina epically stared at each other for a minute until mom said "Touché." Crossing her arms.

"So Henry, did she like it?" Rina asks, looking at me. I smiled and smirked. "Oh she didn't like it, she LOVED it!" Rina jumps over to my side and laughs, "Hells yeah! So I'm guessing you have some kind of homework that is going to evolve me." I chuckle and nod. "I have to take notes on every attribute that you have." I say and Rina pats my head. "What are we waiting for? Let's get some paper and observe!" She exclaims and sits in the open area behind the couch.

"Hold on, what about your cooking lesson?" Mom asks, Rina rolls her eyes. "I like microwaveable pizza, I LOVE waffles, and I can get food at Granny's of I don't feel like pizza, so I'm good." She says and Mom grunts and gets back to dinner.

When Mom finishes cooking, we eat and talk about the day,then we clean up and it's homework time. Rina sits patiently and I start collecting info.

Hight on fours: 6,11 ft.
Hight on two legs: 10 ft.
Length: 17 ft.
Width: 1 ft.
-long neck and head
-2 inch, sharp, black claws, five in each foot/hand
-11 ft. Tail length
-9 ft. Wing span
-2 ft. Upper wing span
-1 ft. Lower wing span
-1 & 1/2 ft horns that have the appearance of lightning, color, black
-smooth scales that almost feel like skin, color white, stomach is red and is skin
-large eyes that are dark green and glow a small bit
-teeth sharp as knives, can retract within the gum and shoot back out at command
