~Third Person POV~
The Mugen Train, Giyuu remembers it like it was yesterday, hearing about Kyoujuro's passing and going to the funeral with the rest of the Hashira.
Giyuu decided to volunteer himself to help out Kyoujuro, and the Master agreed, letting him go. Sabito stayed back, to take missions.
Once Giyuu arrived, Kyoujuro was sitting at a table in the train, eating a bento box.
"Umai!"
"..Hello Rengoku.." Giyuu said, sitting besides him. He continued eating, as Giyuu predicted, so he waited for him to finish.
Once he finished, the two talked until Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke arrived. They all chatted for a bit until they got their tickets punched. They all fell asleep.
Giyuu woke up in the Butterfly Mansion in a bedroom. He sat up, looking around the room.
Just then, Shinobu walked into the room.
"Ah good morning Giyuu! Your sister is here to see you!" Shinobu said, leaving the room.
'Whats happening..' Giyuu thought to himself, getting up and leaving the room.
'I have a bad feeling about this..' Giyuu thought, seeing his sister.
"Ah hello Giyuu!" Tsutako said, hugging her brother.
"..Hi." Giyuu replied. "I'll be right back.." Giyuu exited the Butterfly Mansion, it looked very different. He saw Kanae when he was walking out, but he snuck by her and ran off somewhere.
'What the fuck is actually happening.. This has to be a dream..' Giyuu thought to himself, realizing he still had his sword.
'!Dreams could end when you die, so...' Giyuu held his sword and cut his neck, waking up back on the train. He saw Nezuko waking the others up.
Once everyone was up, they all split up. Nezuko and Zenitsu stayed on the train, Tanjiro and Inosuke went outside on the train, while Kyoujuro and Giyuu stuck together.
(The events stayed the same whilst going for Enmu, so timeskip to after the train crashed and everyone was outside.)
"We did it!" Tanjiro yelled, coughing when he felt the pain in his stomach. Nezuko went back into her box and Zenitsu was passed out on the ground.
All of a sudden, Upper Moon 3 came out, going after Tanjiro, but Giyuu and Kyoujuro stopped him.
'Not this time..' Giyuu thought to himself, pulling out his sword alongside Kyoujuro, who was doing the same.
"Ah, I see we got two Hashira here! What's your names?!" Akaza asked the two.
"Kyoujuro Rengoku, aka the Flame Hashira!"
"I'm Giyuu Tomioka... The Water Hashira.."
"Well then, you two would be great demons! How about you two join me and we could fight for eternity!" Akaza yelled, offering the two.
"Hell no!" Giyuu yelled.
"I'll pass!" Kyoujuro also yelled.
The two got into a fighting stance and Akaza did the same.
"You guys, stay behind us." Giyuu said to the kids, ready to fight besides Kyoujuro.
The whole fight was a blur, and all Giyuu could remember was that last moment before having another blackout. He woke up in the Butterfly Mansion on an infirmary bed. He sat up and looked around, it was about noon.
Giyuu saw Kyoujuro next to him on a separate bed, he was breathing.
'I saved him!' Giyuu thought to himself, silently celebrating to him.
Sabito came in and rushed to Giyuu's bed, seeing him awake.
"God damn man! You two did great!" Sabito said, excitedly.
"..I don't remember what happened.. Can you tell me?" Giyuu asked.
"You two destroyed Akaza! You two killed him! He left you two injured, but I'm proud! You've come a long way!" Sabito said.
With that, Kyoujuro woke up and joined the conversation.
"Yeah! We fucking killed him! You did great out there Tomioka!" Kyoujuro said.
"Thanks, I bet you did too.." Giyuu responded.
"Just a warning though, Kocho didn't really seem happy to see all of you come in injured." Sabito warned, walking towards the door.
"I've got a mission, hope I'll see you home later!" Sabito said, leaving the room, then in came Shinobu after Sabito left.
"I've learnt to stop being mad at everyone since it was an Upper Moon.. Just be more damn careful next time!" Shinobu said, giving them food.
'I love you Shinobu, but sometimes you're very scary..'
