"Be ready for anything," I reminded them. "We have no idea how many troops remain. The ones out there fighting Katt and the others could be only a fraction of the whole."

"Right," Fox agreed. "But we can take them, right team?"

"Right, Fox," Peppy agreed.

"You betcha!" Slippy added.

"They don't stand a chance!" Falco sneered.

"Then let's do this!" I cheered.

A bunch of ships, say about thirty, came to greet us as we descended. Their defenses were weak, though, and they each went down in two charged shots.

"Simple as that," I grinned.

"Is that the best you've got?" Falco taunted.

"Far from it," A familiar voice cackled.

"Star Wolf!" I gasped as four arwings flew into view.

"That's right," Wolf smirked. "And we've gotten some- upgrades since you last saw us."

He pulled down his sleeve to show us a robotic arm, and pointed to his eyes to show us they were glowing red.

"They've become cyborgs!" Slippy gasped.

"That's right!" Pigma squealed. "You don't stand a chance against us now! YEEE HAW!"

"We'll never let you get to uncle Andross alive!" Andrew added.

"I should have known--!" Fox and I gasped in unison.

"We took you out once, and we'll take you out again," I vowed. "We can do this, guys!"

"We'll just have to see about that, now won't we?" Wolf taunted.

He fired at me, and I just barely dodged out of the way. From there, the two of us became locked in combat.

"Gah!" Falco gasped. "No way!"

I tried to quickly preform a 180 and lose Wolf, but he copied my actions perfectly.

"I know all your tricks by this point," Wolf sneered.

"Far from it," I responded curtly. "You'll never know all my tricks, because I keep coming up with new ones on the spot."

As I spoke, I slammed on the breaks and put my ship in reverse, sliding underneath Wolf's ship and ending up behind him.

"What the-?!" Wolf gasped as I got off an easy charged shot.

He rounded on me quickly, trying to take me by surprise, shooting rapid fire, but I just deflected everything by barrel rolling.

"Ugh!" Wolf grunted, breaking away from me and targeting Fox now instead.

"You can't run from me, Slippy!" Andrew jeered.

I spun around idly in search of Slippy, finding him locked in combat with Andrew a few yards away. I sped over to him, thinking to myself Andrew'll never see me coming! He had his back to me, chasing Slippy. I locked on and fired a shot in his direction.

"Nice try," He chuckled, dodging out of the way.

I fired again, directly in the path of his dodge, and got him.

"What?!" He gasped.

"Nice try," I repeated, smiling slyly.

"Thanks," Slippy thanked me, rounding on Andrew and getting off another shot while he was still recovering from his shock.

"You can't best me, I'm the great Leon!" Leon taunted Falco.

I spun my arwing around again to see what he was doing, seeing as the roles had reversed over here, and now Slippy was chasing Andrew. I saw Leon and Falco not that far away, with Leon right on Falco's tail.
