"What?!" The captain gasped as Fox and his father opened fire on the fleet, destroying his ship. "ANDROSS!!!"
"Retreat!" one of the lower ranked pilots screamed, and the fleet started to scatter.
"Get back here and fight, you cowards!" Wolf howled in fury. "This isn't over! IDIOTS!"
"Looks like you're all on your own now, Mr. O'Donnell," I noted.
"GRR..." Wolf gritted his teeth. "You're going down!"
"The only one who's going down is you!" Falco cried.
"Hold your fire," I warned him calmly. "Leave him."
"What?" Falco gasped. "Are you crazy?! Now's our chance to finish him off once and for all!"
"Let him think about what just happened," I explained. "Allow it to all sink in for him. He can't do anything without Andross. He'll be fine if we leave him alone here."
"You're crazy," Falco muttered, but started to pull into the docking bay.
"I think with enough time to consider his position, he'll change his mind, and become a valuable asset to our team," I concluded, pulling into the docking bay as well. "Well done, team."
The rest of the team pulled into the docking bay right behind me.
"I'll start repairing your ships," ROB offered.
"No need," General Pepper smiled. "With Andross gone, the Lylat wars are finally over."
"There could be a few stragglers from the army he built up deciding to cause trouble," I pointed out.
"I suppose you're right," General Pepper agreed. "Get to it, ROB!"
"Right away, sir," ROB saluted, starting to repair my ship first.
"DAD!!" Fox cried, leaping out of his arwing and giving his father a big hug.
"My son..." James smiled. "You did well. I'm proud of you."
"Your son's been a great team captain in your place, sir," Peppy assured him.
"I don't doubt that," James responded, glancing at all of his friends and teammates, finally letting his eyes fall on me. "I don't believe I've ever seen you before. Who are you?"
"My name is Admiral Storm," I told him. "Pleasure to meet you."
"One of the higher ups I see," James began, lifting up his shades.
"She's the one that saved your life, sir," Slippy blurted.
"Well, if that's the case, I am forever indebted to you," James explained.
"There's no need," I assured him. "It's all just part of my job."
"Thank you," James thanked me.
"Anytime, sir," I nodded idly, looking past him and noticing we were moving at hyperspeed. "I wonder where we're going now?"
"Home," Peppy sighed, smiling.
"Next stop, Corneria," General Pepper nodded. "You did some great work out there, all of you."
"We were all just doing our job, sir," I told him.
"Oh my... it's true!" Krystal gasped. "Mr. McCloud, you really are back!"
"And who's this?" James asked his son.
"Oh, uhh... just a girl I work with sometimes, like Admiral Storm," Fox explained sheepishly.
