Arthit had just returned in his apartment by holding Kongpob's hand as if he feared he would run away.
Fear all more laughable his lover had this small cheerful air he hardly hid, since Arthit had given him that movie kiss in the street, under the pouring rain, ignoring their dispute, as if nothing else mattered.
The engineer had almost forgotten the fetish his lover had for water when, their wet lips parting so they could catch breaths, Kongpob had slid a hand down his cheek, his thumb caressing his lips with burning need.
"I love kissing you in the rain so much..."
His whisper was nearly obscene.
Even under torture, Arthit wouldn't admit he'd loved it, but he did. And now back home, after that moment of pure abandon, he was lost.
He'd stopped Kongpob from leaving. He'd wanted to keep him close, even though the situation was still complicated. He'd let his heart speak and now, he faced his own contradictions.
"I'm still mad at you, but I want you."
"I want you, but we still need to talk."
All to his thoughts, he startled feeling a light pressure of the hand locked in his. Immediately, he released it, before turning to Kongpob who seemed to... blush?
The young man cleared his throat.
"Hm... Uh... P', you brought me back here fooooor... "
Arthit almost choked at his tone full of hints.
"For you to stay asleep!" He replied, denying the heat permeating his wet cheeks. "It was useless for you to leave since you can sleep here..."
"Hm... But you're the one who called that cab..."
"And? Anyone can change their mind, so go take a shower or you'll catch a cold!"
Arthit hoped this injunction will force his little brown to stop throwing his own weaknesses in his face and give him some rest, but staying motionless, he glanced at the sofa with a grimace.
"And where I'm going to sleep?"
Immediately, Arthit looked up at the ceiling.
"Don't worry, Mr. Suthiluck, you'll sleep in my bed and I..."
But immediately, Kongpob raised his hand in protest.
"If you're going to sleep apart, I'd rather leave right now."
What...?!
Unbelieving, Arthit creased his eyes, meeting his lover's serious gaze.
"Kong, of course I'm not going to sleep on the couch while I'm at home!"
At once, he met a little embarrassed smile.
Sparkling eyes.
A little too enthusiastic, knowing they hadn't dotted all the "i's" yet.
Arthit sniffed, running a nervous hand over his neck.
In the midst of his uncertainties, all he knew for sure was he was exhausted, soaked to the bone and feeling sticky, and he hated it.
As if he'd read his mind, Kongpob immediately took a step towards him, hesitating but bold, like a tightrope walker moving without a net on the very thin line of the calm after storm, hoping not to fall.
"How about we take that shower together? Wouldn't that be..."
"Kong..."
Biting his lips, the youngest sighed.
