She could see him in some corner of the pub, surrounded by a lot of men and Reena stood in front of him.
Her arms cross, her expression showed that she was taunting him. However, she couldn't hear anything as the crowd was loud as they were ushered out of the place.
The moment her feet hit the sidewal, she looked around.
There must be some way she could eavesdrop.
She could just walk into the pub and stand with him, but she didn't want to face that Kamal right now.
Him and his self righteous attitude.
Ugh.
Just as she inspected the walls of the pub, she noticed a lot of dents in certain places on the wall.
It was hollow enough for her to place her foot.
Maybe she could try to climb up there and look for an opening?
Looking around to make sure no one was there, she walked up to the wall, dusted her hands, cursed under her breath and slipped of her heels.
"Here goes nothing." She muttered to herself as placed her leg in one dent and clawed at the wall for support.
Her fingers slotted itself into one of the stones. The stone however, was set loosely and immediately fell off.
"Shit" she muttered and dropped down to the ground again.
Just as she dusted her hands and looked up, she noticed that the right side of the wall was covered with green vines which hung over the brick wall.
"Why didn't I notice this before?" She asked herself and walked towards it.
The wall's bricks had perfect indents and the vine seemed strong enough to hold.
So, using all her strength, she placed one leg in one of the dents and lifted herself off of the ground.
The moment she did, she raised her right hand towards the vine and tugged at the thickest one. it didn't budge.
Thank God.
After a very tiring climb, she flopped herself on the terrace, her lungs eager for air.
"Why" gasp "is this" gasp "so" another gasp "hard oh my God" after five seconds of breathing, "I need to work out more." she concluded and rolled off of the terrace floor.
She slowly inspected the roof of the bar until she noticed an exhaust vent. it wasn't very big but with a little effort, she could slip herself into it.
As she neared the vent, she saw the blades of the exhaust fan spinning slowly, a strong smell of petrol hit her.
She cringed and rubbed her nose and peered through it.
"What are they even doing down there?" She let her hands skim over the surface of the metal frame to search for any screws holding it down in place.
Turns out it was hinged on one side, which means all she had to do was pry it open on one side and she could easily get in. She placed her hand on the rusted metal and with all her might, she pulled it open.
There was a painful creak like nails rubbing against a chalk board, however, it wasn't too loud for the sound to travel up to them.
"My worth, will not be understood by anyone other than those who care for me." She heard Rocky's voice float through the dead silent bar.
She slowly lowered herself down through the opening. Her toes touched a cool surface and she relaxed and dropped onto the granite counter.
She was only twenty four. Why was her backing already aching Lord help her.
She groaned a bit and slid to the floor. She leaned her back against one of the pillars and watched the scene unfold. her head fell back on the hard surface and her eyes shut as she tried to not breathe loudly.
"What are you doing here?" The sudden question from an unfamiliar voice making her snap her eyes open and turn so fast she heard her neck cracking in certain places.
A man.
Another man.
Honestly why are men like this?
So damn sneaky and suspicious to even look at.
Why was he here?
Something was very much off about him.
"No. The question is, what are you doing here? How did you even get in? And who are you?"
"The front door. I just waited for everyone to clear out and I sneaked in."
Why did she not think of that?
He continued, "I'm doing the job I was assigned."
"What job?"
"To take the assassin out." She clenched her jaw and glared at him.
"What are you talking about? That is my job. I was given that task."
She was extremely protective of her job. It was the only thing that kept her grounded. There was no way she was being replaced.
Maybe this was all just a big confusion.
Or maybe he's here to kill someone else.
And who even was he?
"Who exactly are you taking out again?"
I'm afraid I can't share much with you. I don't even know you."
"Then why would you tell me that you're an assassin?" She questioned him with a tone of ridicule.
"I'm not an assassin. I'm here to take out an assassin. Orders from my boss."
"You're hired to kill. That's what an assassin is genius. And who even are you?"
Who even hired him?
He was so inefficient and he didn't even know what he was doing.
"I'm Deekshit." and suddenly he hissed like as though he got burned.
"Forget it. Forget I told you my name. Just forget we ever met. Go away."
What kind of toddler did they hire?
"Look, I'm good friends with them. So if you tell me who you're going to kill. I can help you." he gave her a dubious glance.
"I'm serious." she said.
"There's this girl. Someone called Meghna."
a/n note;
deekshit is so dumb fr.
