She was taken too soon
she is greatly missed
she passed on in June
Nylah was my cousin
I never met her
but I heard she shined
bright like the sun
The pain was unbearable
we all felt sorrow
and we all felt terrible
She was gone,
and we couldn't do anything
she filled a space in our hearts
her death changed everything
It was all over the news
and regardless of people's views,
what happened to her was wrong.
To this day,
we are all experiencing grief
some more than others
some still in disbelief
that her life was so brief
We are still angry
that she left the world
the way she did
but more so how
You were meant to do great things
but your life was cut short,
by someone who was supposed to
love and care for you
You are missed Nylah
