"What the fuck did you do to him?" Cyno screamed, choking on the burn in his throat. He dropped down next to Tighnari, staying close enough to him to block everyone else out. "Nari, it's me!"

"Who are you, get away," Tighnari said.

"Don't do this to me...please, try to remember." He Tighnari's cheek while wiping his own tears away. "Please..."

"I don't know you. Stop touching me!" Tighnari said, shoving his hand off.

Cyno clenched his jaw, more tears streamed down. He jammed his fist into the wall, startling Tighnari.

Earlier that day...

"Babe, do you know what day it is today?" Cyno asked.

"Of course, isn't it like Sunday or something?" Tighnari said, looking up at him.

"Yeah...but is there anything special about today?"

"I mean yes? You are with me and you make everyday special. Other than that, it's just a normal day."

"Are you sure? You're not forgetting something?" Cyno said, slightly frowning in disappointment.

"Am I? What is it?"

He sighed, shaking his head. "It's nothing really," he said and pressed his lips on Tighnari's knuckles.

"Actually...now that you mention it, I did almost forget something!" Tighnari said, sitting up straight.

Cyno's eyes lit up. He nodded, encouraging him to keep going.

"I was supposed to meet someone today!" Tighnari finally said. His tail wagged excitedly.

"Who?"

"Someone oh so dear to me."

"Who?!"

"I just said, someone dear to me!"

"Okay, sorry for asking so many questions," Cyno said.

Tighnari rose up and picked a bag that was hung by the door. "Thank you for understanding. Welp, I'm gonna be late, so see you!"

"Not even a goodbye kiss..." Cyno mumbled to himself. He sat alone thinking for a few seconds then rushed outside to find Collei.

"Collei, Collei," he said, holding her shoulders.

"M-Master, what is it? You seem in a hurry," she said, putting down the watering can.

"Do you know where Tighnari is going?"

"No..."

"See, you're lying. You're looking away. What are you two not telling me?"

"I'm not lying! It's just, Master, you're too close and I don't like being touched," she said.

"Fuck, I'm so sorry," he said, pulling away. "Okay, thank you. I'm going to fo- I mean, I'm not going to follow him."

She giggled and waved goodbye as he ran off into the forest.

"Let's see who's this special person, Mr. Tighnari," Cyno said. He navigated his way after Tighnari, hiding behind trees and poles, completely forgetting Tighnari's sharp sense of hearing. "Just where is he going?"

As soon as he noticed Tighnari's head turn around, he slid down behind a rock and held his breath. He only stepped out when he heard his footsteps again. But by then, Tighnari was nowhere to be seen. Standing out in the open, Cyno spun around, squinting in every direction. He heard laughter flood the silence from his left.

"I'm over here," Tighnari said.

Cyno flinched then finally spotted him by the small entrance of a cave. "Uh, I was just–"
