The small candle that had accompanied Tighnari for the next hour and lit up his desk was almost dead now. Its last flames flickered, signaling him to head to bed as well. It was past midnight and he'd made multiple sketches of the mushroom and detailed any observations he'd made.

He yawned, left his desk, and navigated through the mess of crumbled paper. He opened the bedroom door and squinted in the darkness. He saw Cyno's figure sitting on the bed. "Cyno? Are you still awake?" Tighnari said and walked towards him.

"Um, yeah, I–" Cyno hesitated. He slipped his hand out of his pants and looked away.

Tighnari raised his brows and smiled. He moved closer to him, trying to make eye contact. "Were you going to do it without me?" He asked. Even though it was dark, he still caught him blushing.

"...You were busy, so," Cyno muffled awkwardly.

Tighnari laughed softly. He held Cyno's chin and turned his face back towards him. "It's okay, I'm not mad," he said.

"Really?"

"Yeah, you can keep going. I want to see you touch yourself." He climbed behind him on the bed. "Go on."

Cyno considered it for a moment and gave in. Tighnari took his hand and pushed it back down his pants, giving him a few encouraging rubs along his dick. The next morning...

"Good morning," Collei said, yawning as she took a seat at the dining table.

"Good morning, Collei," Tighnari said, "are you heading out for a patrol today?"

"No," she hid her face in her arms on the table.

"Great, I have a letter and a package. If you could help ship it out, that'd be great. You are exempt from your other ranger duties," he said, stirring a few vegetables in the pan.

"Okay," she said and yawned again.

"...What's the matter, Collei?"

"I just couldn't sleep," she said.

Tighnari shot Cyno an angry look. Cyno shrugged in response. "It's not my fault," he mouthed, "it was you."

He shook his head and went back to stirring the food.

A week later...

"So what's the plan?" Cyno asked Tighnari, whose face was buried in a calendar.

"The plan is, as soon as we receive the new guides, we will distribute them amongst the rangers on the day of the Forest Festival. It's the best chance to get everyone gathered at one place...Ugh," Tighnari aggressively ran his fingers through his hair.

"Babe, what is it? Why so stressed?" Cyno said. He leaned in and held Tighnari's wrist.

"There's so much to do! I have to organize the event because it's tomorrow and the packages from Inazuma didn't even fucking arrive yet. What am I going to do? I can't delay the festival..."

Cyno sighed. "Okay, first of all, give me that." He took the calendar from him and put it on the other end of the table. "How about you go take care of the festival preparations and I'll go down to the port and see if the ship has arrived?" He suggested.

"Really?" Tighnari said, his ears spiking with enthusiasm.

Cyno nodded. "Just write the name of your guide on a paper so I don't forget and I'll ask them if they have it yet."

"O-okay, thank you so much," he said. He tore a piece of paper from the corner of the calendar and scribbled on it.
