Tighnari pulled his lips away from Cyno's passionate kiss. He sighed and curled up in a ball.

"What's wrong?" Cyno said. He brushed his hair aside to see him better.

"My tummy hurts...like really bad," Tighnari said. He placed a hand on his abdomen, breathing heavily through the pain.

"Aw, no. Why? What– Why does it hurt? What can I do? Do you want some more water?" Cyno said. He softly rubbed Tighnari's stomach, wishing he could take his pain instead.

"I don't know...water..."

Cyno jumped off the couch and sprinted to the kitchen to fill his glass with water. He came back and helped Tighnari sit up. "Here you go, baby," he said and held the glass for him to drink.

"Agh...thank you."

Cyno observed him rock back and forth in agony. It was always agitating for him to see his partner hurt or sad or in pain. "C'mon," he said, lifting Tighnari's arm to get him up.

"Where?"

"I'm taking you to the doctor or a clinic."

"I don't want to! I just want to stay home right now," Tighnari said.

"Babe, please. This isn't right. Maybe we could at least get you some medicine."

"I'll be fi–" Tighnari covered his mouth with his hand. Even though he felt completely weak, he found the strength to push past Cyno and jolted to the bathroom.

"See?" Cyno said, following him, "you're not fucking fine." He held Tighnari's hair up and looked away as he threw up in the toilet.

"Ahh..." Tighnari rested his back against the bathtub to catch his breath. He took a tissue that Cyno had handed him and wiped his mouth.

"You leave me no choice," Cynos said. He removed his hands from his hips and carried Tighnari off the floor. He was about to take him for medical care when Collei arrived.

"Master? Is Master okay?" She asked with her hand on her heart.

"Yes..." Tighnari mumbled.

"No, he isn't," Cyno said. "His stomach hurts and he was throwing up."

"Umm. By any chance, did he eat any mushrooms today?" She asked.

"...How did you know?"

"I'll explain," she sighed and hung her bag. "Today, I was out with a few other Rangers. We discovered a poisonous species of mushrooms that looks almost exactly like the ones we normally eat. I warned the others and collected a few samples of these mushrooms for Master to study. Everyone else who ate from it exhibited the exact same symptoms, so I'm pretty sure that's what's causing him the pain."

"Is that so?" Cyno said, looking at Tighnari. "But still, we can't just watch. There has to be something we can do...Collei, can you help?"

"Of course, what can I do?"

"Could you run down to the city and buy some antibiotics? You'll find a pouch of Mora on my study, you can take that."

"Got it. I'll be right back," she said and dashed off.

"You'll be fine soon. Just hang on a little longer, okay? You're in my care." Cyno carried Tighnari to the room and gently rested him on the bed. He sat by the edge next to him and massaged his stomach. "Ugh, it's my fault, I gave you those stupid mushrooms."

Tighnari couldn't muster a response, but he squeezed Cyno's hand.

"I'll get you more water, it'll clean your body from the bacteria, best we can do."

"Antibiotics acquired!" Collei said. She held the bottle of medicine in the air.

"Perfect, Collei...b-bring it here," Cyno said. He humped across the living room floor to take the medicine from her.

"Uh...Master Cyno, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I just ate some more of the mushrooms," he said, opening the bottle.

"What? Why? I said it was poisonous!"

"I know," he said and dropped some of the liquid onto his tongue before swallowing it. "I have to make sure this shit works before giving it to Tighnari."

"...Okay but don't make a lab rat out of yourself," Collei said.

"I will if I have to," he insisted and placed the bottle on the table. "Now, let's just give it a few minutes to sink in."

"How is Master holding up?"

"He's gotten worse. Can you give him some water?" He said, still trying to collect himself.

She nodded and ran to Tighnari's side. A few minutes later, Cyno joined them again.

"Okay, it's safe," he said and opened the bottle.

Collei helped Tighnari up and Cyno slipped a small spoonful of the antibiotic in his mouth. He kissed Tighnari's forehead and laid him back on the bed, covering him with a warm blanket. "There you go, sweetie. The pain will go away soon."

They stepped out of the room to let him nap. Cyno took one last look at him before carefully closing the door. "Thank you, Collei."

"Anytime, hehe."

He sighed, brushing his hair back. "Things went well, I'm glad. I was worried. Anyway, I'm so tired, I think I'll make some coffee. You want?"

"Uh, no thanks. I'll brew some tea for myself, instead."

"Alright then," he said and began preparing his drink.

One hour later...

The bedroom door creaked open. Tighnari appeared from the dark. He was rubbing his eye and holding the blanket around his shoulders. "Good morning," he said.

"It's not morning, love. It's night. You should get some more sleep," Cyno said.

"I can't," he yawned, "I have to examine that cursed mushroom and add it to the adventure guide of the forest."

"Yes, you will do that, but it can wait–"

Tighnari shook his head. "I have to do it and then mail the publishing house at Inazuma to print a new batch and ship it over. It's a long process so I have to start now."

"O-okay...I guess I'll go to sleep then," Cyno said, heading towards the room. "Uness, anything I can do to help?" He asked.

"Yes, actually." Tighnari crossed his arms.

"What?"

"Where's my good night kiss?"

Cyno grinned. He pulled him in and kissed him slowly while feeling his soft neck with his cold fingertips. "Good night, Nari."

"Good night, Cyno."
