It's still the same night that Vicki had turned into a vampire. All three of the Salvatore brothers are out finding Vicki and they finally find her on top of Tyler and about to feed on him. Acting quickly Grayson pulls her off of Tyler and holds her as she tries to get out of his grip, but because he's older he's therefore stronger than her.
Tyler is quick to stand up and goes to run but Damon and Stefan block his path. "What's going on here Grayson? Stefan?" Tyler asks confused. "What's wrong with her?" "You don't talk." Damon says ignoring his questions. "Screw you dude."
"'Dude'? Really 'Dude'?" Damon asks rhetorically. "Damon don't." Stefan warns. "Oh come on. Who's gonna miss this idiot?" Damon says which angers Tyler because he punches Damon right in the face.
Damon doesn't take this lightly and instantly grabs Tyler by the neck. However, instead of killing him like his brothers thought he would, he just compelled Tyler. "Forget what you saw here tonight. None of us were here." Damon then throws Tyler across the parking lot before the three Salvatore's and Vicki quickly leave.

In the morning Stefan, Grayson and Damon are watching over Vicki since she can't go out in the sun as she doesn't have a daylight ring yet. Stefan is sitting across from Vicki whilst Damon is sitting at a desk 'reading' the newspaper, and Grayson is just leaning against a bookshelf with his arms crossed over his chest with a blank look on his face.

"I don't understand why I have to stay. Why can't I go home?" Vicki complains after calling Matt saying that she won't be home for a while. "Because you're changing Vicki, and it's not something you wanna do alone." Stefan answers.
"There's nothing about that Logan guy I killed in here. Not a word." Damon announces. "Then someone's covering it up." Grayson concludes waiting for Piper to arrive since school ended not too long ago and they wanted to hang out. But Grayson's stuck o babysitting Vicki duty with his brothers so they suggested they hang out at the Boarding House.
"What is that?" Vicki asks curiously looking at the object in Damon's hand. "This is a very special, very old compass. What was Logan Fell doing with it? Aren't you curious?" Damon answers as he questions his brothers. "Well if you're so worried that somebody's onto you, leave town." Stefan retorts.
"Hey, I'm hungry. Do you have anything to eat?" Vicki questions stopping an argument between the two eldest Salvatore's from happening. Stefan stands up from the chair he was sitting in and hands Vicki a mug filled with animal blood. "What is it?" She asks again causing Grayson to roll his eyes annoyed at how many questions the girl is asking.
"It's what you're craving." Stefan replies which makes Grayson scoff. "Don't lie to her. It's so not what you're craving, but it'll do in a pinch." "What is it?" "Yeah Stefan, what is it? Is it skunk? St. Bernard? Bambi?" Damon adds.
