I sit here in the back of the classroom as I scroll through my iCoffin. I scroll through posts of hot ghouls since I have nothing better to do at the moment while fiddling with my horns.

I was too bored to even watch the film Mr. Rotter put on. Hell, we've watched it so many times that I can smoothly recite everything the narrator says.

'This ghoul's hot as home.' I hover my thumb over the like button, about to press it, until I get a text from Deuce. 'Dammit dude!' I internally sigh.

Slytherined-Hair

Slytherined-Hair:
Sup dude

Me:
YOU SNAKEBLOCKER

Slytherined-Hair:
Woah woah
Chill

Me:
HOLD ON FOR JUST 2 SECONDS

Slytherined-Hair:
Okay......

I quickly switch screens to the post and like it. 'Good hell.' I swiftly glare at the snake-head and went back to his chat.

Slytherined-Hair

Me:
Alright what's up

Slytherined-Hair:
Nothing much
Just bored

Me:
Aren't we all?

Slytherined-Hair:
Why did my babies tell me that you glared at them?

Me:
Tell them that they're adorable and that I love them
And that that glare was meant for you ❤️

Slytherined-Hair:
You're so nice 😍

Me:
I know I know
It's in my blood

Slytherined-Hair:
Are we still up for the hang-out?

Me:
Yep
What do I need to bring?

Slytherined-Hair:
Just yourself and a couple of stardollars because I'm not buying

Me:
Wow you're so nice 😍

"Frankie Stein! This is your first Halloween. I advise you to pay particularly close attention." Mr. Rotter warns Frankie for talking. I tuck my phone in my pocket to avoid any suspicion.

After a few seconds, the film ended. 'Finally—' I pull out my iCoffin to text Deuce.

"Mr. Rotter! This film can't be right! I-I mean monsters forced to run and hide, normies coming to get us!" Frankie exclaimed in disbelief. I sigh and shake my head. 'Sadly, it does Frankie. Sadly it does...'

Mr. Rotter dramatically turns around and states, "That is the unfortunate history of Halloween." He turns back around, cue in the thunder, with his hands up. Frankie yelps in fright.

"Mr. Rotter, dude—" He raises his non-existent eyebrow. "U-Uh— I mean— Sir, dude!" Deuce quickly corrects himself. He smiles in satisfaction.

"You make us watch that boring old film every year and every year nothing happens."

"Deuce! Dude!"

Mr. Rotter draws out "dude" dramatically and Deuce smiles in satisfaction. "May I remind you of the old saying, "Those of you who forget the lessons of history, will be doomed to repeat them."" I furrow my eyebrows. 'I should try to command the lightning to cue in after me. That shit cool.'

"I repeated history once! But that was because I accidentally burned my book." Heath holds his book up— which caught fire. He started screaming, trying to fan it out. Abbey, from the front row, used her freezing powers and froze the book along with his hand. "Woah!" Everyone started laughing at the scene. I even smiled in amusement.

"Students! I assure you this is no laughing matter. Halloween is only days away."

"But... But my magazine said this is a fun time with costumes and candy!—"

Cleo stood up from her spot, snatching Frankie's magazine in the process. "Frankie. These normie magazines are jammed full of lies. See?" She turns the magazine to Frankie. "Naughty to Hottie in four easy steps. Please... You're either born with it or you're not."

"Even though the normies seem like they can be trusted... All rules go out their window on Halloween. Who knows what they might be capable of."

The bell rings. Everyone— including myself— gets up in a hurry, yearning to get out of the classroom. "NOT SO FAST." Everybody jolts and turns to him. "We will continue this discussion... tomorrow." He spins and throws a powder on the ground, creating smoke.

Monsters gasp in shock, not seeing their teacher. As the smoke fades, we can see Mr. Rotter tilting books until he found the right one that opens up a secret passageway. He turns to us in shock and growls. He spins and throws the powder on the ground again, making his great escape.

I put some of my stuff back in my locker silently. I was mentally exhausted and I just needed some food.

A ball bumped into my shoe. I widened my eyes, recognizing the ball. "Ah shi—" Before I knew it, I was knocked down by a heavy monster— Clawd. "OOF—" We harshly landed on the floor. "Sorry Y/n! I just need the— Woah..." Clawd quickly stood up and looked at the window.

He offers a hand to me, which I take gratefully. "Thanks." He doesn't respond. I look up where he's looking at and see eggs on the window. "Uh-oh." Was all I could say.

I walk down the steps and jog to where most of the students are gathered. I see the sight of Cleo covered in eggs. I was about to laugh until I look to where the source is. I see normies in masks, mocking them. I narrow my eyes. 'How could they do this?'

I felt my eyes burn up. I held up my hand towards them. "Mizu Cadere." All of a sudden, water falls from the sky and onto the normies. "WOAH MAN! LETS GET OUTTA HERE." They quickly get into their truck and drive away.

A smirk ghosts across my face in victory. 'Ha. But damn I had to say an incantation. Gotta work on that for sure...'

I sat at the lunch table, hungrily chowing down my home lunch. Deuce sits by me while Cleo goes to chat with Toralei. "Dude, what do you think of that?" I shrug. "I think those humans were assholes. According to my father, some of them are hot, kind, or they're just douchebags."

The speakers catches our attention. "Attention students. I know you're all little on edge right now," I scoff. 'A little?' I chomp my food down again. "but as your head mistress, I must urge you not to retaliate."

On cue, it seems, two monsters had many toilet papers in a bucket that they were going to carry out. They stop walking at the announcement.

"We can't afford to ignite any old tensions between us." The two monsters slowly backed away. "Especially this close to... HALLOWEEN." Bats fly out of the speakers. 'Yeah, right.'

I turn to Deuce. "Do you think we should cancel?" He asked in concern. I shake my head. "Nah. They wouldn't dare go into our neighborhood. We'll need to take our minds off of this tragedy."
