Chapter 29

Last night Sammy left to go work in the studio and he never came back. I'm starting to get worried. He won't answer his phone and I have no idea who he's with.

I walked down to the lobby. No Sammy.

"Excuse me." I said the front desk lady

"How can I help you today." She smiled

"Yes. I was wondering if you can help me find this person. He's my boyfriend." I showed her a picture

"I'm sorry. I haven't seen him." She said

"Oh, okay, thank you."

I got into my car and started to drive around.

After 20 minutes of driving I saw flashing blue and red light. I drove closer and realized it was a car crash.

It was Sammy's car.

My knees felt weak as I walked over to the crash.

"I'm sorry ma'am, you can't pass. Authorities only."

Tears started to fill my eyes.

"Ar-are there any sur-survivors?" I asked dreadfully

"No, I'm afraid not. The young man that was driving was intoxicated and high."

I started to cry.

When I got back to the hotel I called Gilinksy.

"Hello, Aja?" He said

"Jack, can-can you come to LA. It's an emergency." I said through the tears

"Are you okay? Have you been crying? What's wrong?" He said

"I'll tell you when you get here."

"Okay, call me if anything comes up."

"Bye." I hung up

I lied on the bed and cried.

After a few minuets I cried myself to sleep.

*One year later*

Today was our wedding.

Everything was perfect.

Gilinksy was all dressed up for our special day.

After a few finishing touches, I was ready to go. I walked down the isle while everyone stood up.

When I got to the stage, I looked into his eyes. He looked so happy.

Then I looked into Sammy's eyes. He had tears in his eyes and he mouthed the words "Don't do it."

"I'm sorry." I said "I can't do this."

I ran out the door. Sammy followed.

"What was that for?" He asked

"I-I just couldn't do it." I shook my head

"I didn't want you to run out and make a scene in front of everybody." He whispered

"I know. I-" I was cut off by Gilinsky

"Aja? What are you doing out here?" He asked

"I was talking to Sammy." I said

"Aja, Sammy died a year ago. He's not coming back."

I looked over to where he was. He was gone.

"No, he was just right here." I said

"Let's go."

"No, I can't leave Sammy. He'll hate me."

"Aja," Gilinsky said "Sammy is gone. He died. He's not coming back."
