World of darkness : Book two : back from the dead

Part 38 : the escpae that brings the new leader

With azuras sanity stagnant maya is unsure what more she can do for her so she summoned Patrick but before she does he was talking in a meeting with the others about what is happening and what will be done soon enough

The undead will be pushed back and the frost bourne will take land from both the south and the north undead lands , the undead fall into the command of tide lord and he has decided to make peace

The war its self is over with azura and savage being held in dread fort , port city was another talking point in this meeting

Diana will get her people and city back with added land and frost bourne protection from any near by dangers to the kingdom

For now the frost bourne would take a while to build up their strength again to what it once was but maras tech will help make up for the lack of manpower that the frost bourne will suffer for the next few months

As for everyone else . Zane and elsa would still work with the frost bourne but zane isn't exactly loyal completely to Patrick but is mainly staying for elsa

Maya plans to leave but elite doesnt want her because he doesnt want her to leave but he cant do much because of what he did to her

Alfreds death is still a mystery in terms of who pushed him into azura cell but one things for certain Daryll is not going to pay for it any time soon

( ok now on to the actual ret of the chapter lol )

Patrick sat in his chair waiting in his office after the meeting , he sat there still thinking about a lot of things but the main thing was of course azura

Soon he heard maya walking in to the office

Maya " lord Patrick may i speak with you " he nodded and stood up s she walked near his desk

Patrick " is it about azura?" Maya showed himm her recent notes and it had been the same for the last few weeks

Maya " sorry sir but I doubt theres much more i can do , i can keep working but im not sure it will yield much more result " Patrick put the notes down and gave them back to maya

Patrick " thanks for all you have done ..i can finally see some of what was the way she was before in her now " Patrick knew that now maybe he could work with azura and try to do something for her but he knew the others wouldn't let him

So he came up with a plan so that he could help azura his own way

He made his way down to azuras cell and was conflicted on what he was about to do " im doing this for her....for her " he said to himself over and over

He walked down and saw azura sleeping in her cell peacefully, he looked at her and for rate first time in the long time saw the women he fell for in her

Patrick walked up to the cell door and opened it and azura woke up , at first when she saw him she was about to lose it but then see stopped and was just surprised but on the inside over joyed to see him

Patrick " go " he stepped back and left the door open

Azura was almost afraid to step out but when she did she ran straight out of the room but then came back

Azura "....why ..why let me go after all did ...to everyone " Patrick put her hands in his and looked into her eyes

Patrick " because you are still the women I love and i want to help you now ....so go i want you to run into the forest. Meet me far away from here . GO !!" He was going to let her go

She hugged him as she cried and smiled

Azura"....im so sorry for everything ....but we need to make this look convincing " she grabbed him with her tail and flown him around and damaged the roo to make it look like she escaped her self "....SORRY ....i love you !!!" SHe ran and flew away

Patrick got up and heard people already coming down to see what happened so he had to act fast to make himself look more hurt

Patrick " ...this is gonna hurt " he grabbed a broken bit of the wall and hit himself in the head hard knocking him out and leaving a giant bloody mark on his face as he was knocked out by it

By the time the others got down they saw all the damage and rushed Patrick to where he could get help

When he woke up he had bandages on his face and mara , hilda and Daryll were standing by , Patrick knew he had to lie and make it look like he couldn't remember what happened

Hilda " my lord are you ok ?" He nodded as he was about to sit up but but Daryll and mara stopped him

Mara " your still hurt it will be at least a week before we can let you out of here " Patrick knew he had to make himself look better then he was faster then that to make it to azura before she is found by some one else

Patrick " no im fine trust me " despite what he said the other wouldn't let him go for 2 days but then he was finally able to order them to let he out

He spent some time in his office thinking but he knew what he was gonna do , find some one to be in charge while hes gone and to also find azura

He was gonna say he's going to find her on his own but who would take up his role for him while he would be gone ?? The answer walked in the office shortly after this thought

Hilda " sir what do you intend to do for the hunt for azura?" Patrick suddenly had a happy look on his face and walked up fast to hilda

Patrick " i shall look for her on my own but i have good news for you " Patrick hugs her tightly and then drops her " congratulations your promoted to grandmaster good luck ^^" he ran out the door

Hilda '.....WHAT" she yelled confused and angry , she ran outside the room and looked down the hall seeing Patrick run " I NEVER AGREED TO THIS . PATRICK YOU SON OF A BIT-" lyria suddenly appeared behind her

Lyira " son of a what Hilda??" She asked confused and hilda stopped yelling not to swear in front of the innocent lyria

Hilda " oh uhhhhhh...nothing...." Lyria also heard what Patrick said to hilda and was filled with joy for the commander not turned grandmaster

Lyria " YOUR NOW THE GRANDMASTER HILDA THATS SO COOL !!!!!.....you must be so excited

Hilda was not as excited as lyria thought and now was already suffering from anxiety And thought to hell self " oh god how am i meant to rule a whole kingdom that lost most of its army.....ahhhhhhh Patrick why !!!!" She screamed inside

But she eventually accepted her new position and quickly started learning how she will have to work , she did not get word when Patrick would return but she hoped it would be soon

But not to long later azura saw Patrick walking near by and the two ran to each other and hugged one another tight

Azura " ...what are we gonna do out here...." She said almost scared

Patrick " dont worry i know where we should go " he took her hand and they walked until the came near a small mountain area , the trees formed and empty circle around a patch of land around it , there was a cave in it and a house hall way inside it and out

Azura "....what is this place ?" She asked as they walked up the hill like slope to the flat part where the house was

Patrick " where i was born ...my home ....our home" the two walked inside and it was a bit damaged but Patrick could fix it easy and the two could live in peace until she its better

Azura " but what if i attack you ...im not fully in control I DONT WANT TO HURT-" he hugged her and moved her to sit on a bed in a different room

Patrick " ill take that chance ...because i love you " the two leaned in close with one another and kissed long and intimately the two rolled on to the bed and well i think you know where this is going uwu

(They start banging XD . A lot very lot *evil laughing* )
