Considering that Stray Kids and Flashlight would have a few collaboration stages and so had to practice together quite a lot, it was extremely easy for the groups to meet. However, it wasn't nearly as easy for Changbin to approach the girls and ask about his confession, especially since he didn't want the object of the conversation - Jaein - to know.

As for Annie, she hadn't really grasped the idea of dating Lee Know yet. Yes, they had kissed. Yes, they had confessed to each other...and yes, they had called themselves boyfriend and girlfriend indirectly. But still. Annie had never dated before, but this wasn't what she had seen on dramas! Well, it was true she was the one asking to keep it a secret from everyone...and that it had been literally less than a day, but it somehow bothered her how they still appeared to be strangers.

Or even worse than that.

"Did you two fight again?"

Remi nudged her friend.

"Hm?"

Annie turned to her, clueless.

"You've been staring at him for almost a minute now, makes me wonder if you're planning his death or something."

Her eyes grew with astonishment while she also wanted to laugh.

"I- How could you even think that!?"

"It wouldn't be the first time."

Remi shrugged.

"What are you guys talking about?"

Changbin approached the two, sitting down on the ground as he spoke.

"Nothing, just your best friend plotting your other best friend's death."

"Rim!"

The boy scolded with a smile.

"I didn't do anything– I mean, I won't if he doesn't bother me again."

Annie interrupted herself, realising it was better if everyone thought they still hated each other.

"Oh! Hi, Binnie!"

Jaein entered the room with Boram, both of them holding drinks in their hands. The two proceeded to sit on the ground, closing the circle with five people.

"Jay! Hey, Boram!"

"Hello!"

They all stared at each other, as if waiting for someone to start a topic. Usually, that person would be Annie since she was the closest to Changbin, but lately it felt her leader had more proximity with him, so she just kept quiet.

"What are y'all doing for Christmas?"

Remi took the initiative.

Changbin glanced at his best friend for a second.

"I don't have any plans yet, maybe I'll go out."

"I'm spending it with my family!"

"I'm going to the shelter and maybe I'll have dinner with my brother after."

A lie. Her plan was to eat with her boyfriend.

"What about you, Jay? Any plans?"

The only male on the circle asked.

"Not really, I'll see."

He nodded.

Just a minute later, the door opened with a knock, it was Yujin.

"Jaein, it's time for your shoot, come on."

The girl got up and left after waving goodbye to everyone.

Finally, an opportunity.

"Changbin has something to say."

"Wh– now?! Here?"

"You won't have a better chance, trust me. So? Hurry up, our break ends in 10 minutes."

The two youngest exchanged confused looks, which didn't go unnoticed by the Stray Kids' member.

"Alright. So, as you may have noticed..."

Changbin spoke, starting from how he began to like Jaein four years ago, talking about how happy he was during their times together and, finally, how much he wanted to make it official. Annie was used to seeing heart in his eyes when he talked about the girl, but it was a first to the other two, who became slightly worried for the boy.

Of course they wanted him happy and they didn't want to ruin their leader's relationship. If they tried hard enough, they could manage to hide it from the company and, specially, the fans. But just like Annie, they had heard about how Jaein felt and they knew she wasn't nearly as in love as he was. Even so, how could they tell him that? What if they were wrong? His heart would be even more broken.

"...so, it's fine to confess, we'll just have to sort a few things out if you actually start dating."

Annie put all of their thoughts together.

"Yeah, like going out, for example. It's fine as friends, but not as a couple. You guys would have to have only indoor dates."

"And if you ever break up, that should not affect any of the groups nor our performances together."

Changbin got a little taken aback by their remarks, he didn't expect these teens to be so mature and responsible.

And neither did Annie, who was mentally writing down everything they said for her own relationship.
