It wasn't even 8 a.m. when Annie opened her eyes, grunting from pain caused by sleeping uncomfortably on a sofa. Luckily - or not -, she wasn't the type to forget things the day after drinking, so it didn't take much for the girl to be left with her mouth wide open.
"Oh my God."
That's great, though! We got closer!
Yep.
It was for good, now we won't be awkward around each other anymore!
Annie tried to reassure herself but, deep inside, she knew it was going to be embarrassing to meet him again.
Upon contemplating how to act in front of her boyfriend, the idol suddenly remembered another thing that happened yesterday.
Changbin's confession.
He didn't say anything, does that mean it didn't go well?
As if the boy heard her question, a text notification popped up on her phone. It was from a group chat consisting of three people.
"let's hang out"
"I need to ease my mind"
It said, and she immediately got her answer.
A minute later, her ringtone signalled an incoming call from Choi Yeonjun.
"Hey."
"Do you know what happened?"
The boy didn't spare a second to question her.
"Maybe. He was planning to confess yesterday."
"Ah, right. He asked me about how to get a girl's heart and the best way to confess."
Annie laughed.
"Why would he ask you that? You have zero knowledge on the subject."
"Hey! I may not have confessed to anyone yet, but I'm pretty sure they'd accept me if I did."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's about yesterday, so we're either congratulating or comforting him."
The girl sighed, hoping it wouldn't be the latter, but having the feeling it was.
"Damn, getting dumped on Christmas must suck."
"Yeonjun!"
"My bad. I need to do some stuff now so we can go out later, see ya."
"Uhm, see you."
After hearing the call end, Annie put her phone down and got ready to leave.

"One banana smoothie, one macadamia iced coffee, a watermelon ade, one brownie, one red velvet cookie and uhh, a cheese croissant, please."
"That will be 45.000 won, miss."
"Thank you! Here, debit."
