A stroll

'Mommy, mommy can you tell me how you and Daddy met each other?' Keira shyly asked, the little girl wasn't too fond of speaking and wouldn't speak unless it was necessary. Leilin who was busy looking at her wallet suddenly diverted her gaze and looked at the two. 

'Don't tell me it was like those fairytale's. I'm sick of reading romance stories that always have the love at first sight trope.'  she huffed as she dramatically leaned on the couch. Benjamin who heard their conversation as he was passing by suddenly came in. 'I bet Dad helped Mom when she was in distress, y'know like in those books you read Lei.' Leilin tightened her fist as her cheeks started to become red.

'WERE YOU GOING THROUGH MY STUFF BENJI' yelled Leilin 'HOW DARE YOU!' Just as she was about to go jump on her brother, her Mom held onto her collar yanking her back onto the couch. 'Now, now kids. What did I say about fights?' Medea asked.

'Don't fight your siblings unless we have permission from you or daddy.' They both said as they stared at the ground glumly. 'But still Mom doesn't need help from Dad, she can take care of her own fights.' Leilin said proudly, as she crossed her arms. 

Suddenly, a big amount of purple smoke appeared, along with Lucas who fell on his Mother's lap. 'Yeah, I bet Dad was the one in distress and Mom had to save him.' Lucas laughed, as he imagined his Dad being the one in distress. Medea chuckled a bit as she looked at her cute little demons, who were now staring at her curiously. 'Come on Mommy, tell us how you met Daddy.' Keira asked as her eyes sparkled intent on finding out.

'Actually it met when I was on a stroll.' Medea was about to go on but was interrupted by Leilin.

'Oh come on, it has to be the love at first sight thing.' 

'Shut it Lei, you interrupted Mom.' Lucas said as he rolled his eyes at her.

'Sorry Mom, keep going.' Leilin said softly before sticking her tongue out to Lucas.

'So like I said I was on a stroll...'

*FLASHBACK*

'Perion you know it would be really scandalous if someone saw us together in this untimely hour.' Medea said amused as Perion turned a bit red.

'This wouldn't be the first time we've been seen together anyways, plus you told me that you needed to discuss something with me,'  Perion stated 'As far as people know we're just two friends taking a stroll.' 

'Ah yes, I have something to tell you about  Eros-' she couldn't finish her sentence as Perion's hand was suddenly covering her mouth. Just as she was about to say something, Perion put a finger to his mouth, Medea nodded as he slowly pulled away his hand. He looked around when he suddenly started to run to a nearby alley, although confused, Medea decided to follow him. 

Perion stopped at the horrifying sight, Medea who has catched up stared at the sight. 'Now that's not something you see everyday.' she murmured. There stood a tall, lean man with a hood and and a mask covering his face, although he was fully covered you could sense his dangerous aura and those alluring red eyes that shined in the dark, surrounded by the blood of those around him. Perion clenched his hand as he started to tremble. 'Ha, Medea, he's as bad as you. He has the soul of the devil.' he said in a low voice before picking up a sword nearby and started running to the man.

Perion plunged his sword to the man, but the man dodged it with ease as he grabbed his hand and punched his stomach, this caused Perion to fly and land on a bunch of crates, he groaned as he hit them, wiping off the blood that spilled from his mouth. 'No witnesses.' The man said as he took out his sword and lifted it up. Right before it could hit Perion, Medea swiftly grabbed a nearby sword and deflected his attack. 'Terribly sorry,' Medea spoke as she smiled at the man. 'But I need him for my plan.' She plunged at the man, before he deflected it. Unfortunately, for Medea he was much stronger than she had intended, she waited for the man to overpower her but it never happened. This man could easily finish her in one blow so why didn't he? Not wanting to think about it too long, Medea kicked his stomach causing him to grunt and stumble back. Medea was about to attack again but she stopped, as the man started laughing. His laugh sent chills down her spine, as he slowly took his mask off, their revealed a quite handsome man with a chilling smile. She let out a smile as well, amused by his actions.

'This should be interesting.' He said in a menacing voice

*END OF FLASHBACK*

'And then? What happened next?' Keira said as she eagerly tugged on Medea's sleeve. Medea giggled as she saw four eyes filled with excitement eagerly waiting for her to continue.

'That's a story for another day.' Medea laughed even more as she saw their eyes now filled with disappointment. 'I promise I'll tell you the rest later. Just not today.'

'Mom, you can make a romance book with a story like that, I can tell you that if you do, then instant money.' Leilin's eyes were filled with greed just by imagining it as Lucas looked at her with disgust.

'The only thing you think about is money, don't you?' He rolled his eyes as Leilin's face started turning red.

'Hey, at least I don't go to the imperial palace everyday just to see some girl, and you're younger than me.' Now Lucas' face was turning red and his hands were trembling.

'Wait Lucas, you have a girlfriend?!' Keira said as she turned to her older brother. 'Why didn't you tell me?'

'Ugh, you're all children.' Benjamin said. This caused all 3 to look at him and started arguing. Medea couldn't help but laugh at her kids as they yelled at each other and she couldn't help but think.

Yep this is just another day in the Solon Family.
