Amelia Collins.
I woke up to a sudden noise. When I concentrated hard enough, I realised it was the door knob rattling. With a start, I realised some one was trying to get in and I tiptoed out of the bed immediately to check.
But when I opened the door and squinted through the dark, I could only see cute and harmless Lilly there. Her tshirt was damp from sweat and so was her face, no doubt because of a nightmare again. I will have to talk to her about that some time.
"Lilly? What's up?"
Then before she could even answer, my eyes widened when the worst came to my mind. "Shit! Did something happen?"
She just waved me off as it was completely normal to sneak into someone else's room in the middle of the night. "Nah... just checking in. You never know with nights.."
I nodded. Yes it did sound completely normal when we know that our cabin is haunted. "Yeah.. Well.. I'm good. You?"
"Just peach... " Uh huh, Sure... "..but go back to sleep. Good night."
Well, I'll get it out some other time when she's ready to talk. "Night."
I closed the door behind her and came back to bed. When I turned to my side, a large warm arm sneaked past my waist and pulled me backwards.
"What'd she want?" He asked. His voice was sleepy, words all jumbling in as he nuzzled his face into my neck from the behind, the action giving me goosebumps over my body all over again.
I slightly grazed his arm on my waist with my right hand and rested it on his; his fingers twisting around to curl around mine.
I hummed. "Nothing... she's just... anxious, I guess."
I turned around under the weight of his arm and peered up at him from under my eyelashes. My hands came up to rest on his bare chest. "You do know that she doesn't have any idea that you're still here, right?"
"She doesn't scare me.." He said cockily. He still hadn't opened his eyes and a tiny smile was playing around on his lips. I realised that I liked it, this smile. I like him.
I cleared my throat, it was still groggy from sleep."Okay... Let me rephrase that. Adam also doesn't have any idea that you're here..."
He opened his eyes, a panicky look on his face. He chuckled uneasily. "Now that's just torture, Amy.."
I grinned. He did too; and then he tightened his arms around me and pulled me close, his eyes turning serious.
He leaned in and tilted his face, mine about to meet him halfway when suddenly someone was banging on the door, hard and loud.
I jumped back, and so did Callum at the same time our eyes were wide and shocked.
I yelled as he hurriedly got out of bed. "LILLY?"
"AMY... OH MY GOD.. OPEN THE DOOR!"
I pulled out a thin jacket from my clothes and pulled it on. "GIVE ME A MINUTE."
I moved to open the door suddenly realising the panic in her voice. A second later, her voice faded. I guessed she must have gone to wake Adam up and I hurried. Something must be seriously wrong if she's so tensed.
A hand came up to grab me from behind and turned me rashly. He was still halfway from pulling up his pants and was looking at me weirdly. I realised I wanted to laugh when I looked at his state.
"What are you doing?" He hissed.
"Uh.. Opening the door.. duh!" I hissed back.
He looked horrified. "But.. but.. she'll know I'm here!"
