Hidden Light (A DragonBall Super Fanfic)

A God is Born

Zira's P.O.V.

We all looked to each other, wondering exactly of what we should do.

"Okay, so uh, if we want to create this Super Saiyan God, then we just need 5 Saiyans, right?" Goku said, although he didn't seem entirely sure himself. Gohan placed a hand on his chin. "I mean, that's what it sounds like. And I mean, we technically have enough; there's Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Goten, and me. This is all really weird though, you think this'd actually work?" he said. Goku gave a carefree smile.

"Well, we won't know till we try, right?" he said. "Fine, then how do we go about doing this?" Vegeta asked. 

"Well, I guess the five of us should gather in a circle, with Dad in front. Once we all hold hands, I guess we just try to transfer all our power into him." Gohan explained. Despite the strangeness and confusion, the other Saiyans followed Gohan's instructions. Goku stood in front of the other four while Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, and Goten joined hands. Both Gohan and Vegeta used their free hands to place on Goku's back. 

"Hurry up already! I don't have all day." Beerus stated impatiently. The five Saiyans tried; they went into Super Saiyan form, their hair turning a bright yellow, while a gold aura started to form around them. An even brighter glow started to come from Goku's back, the power slowly starting to form. I could feel it; it was trying to become stronger and more powerful. However, after about a minute, the power flickered away, unable to stabilize in Goku's body. The Saiyans looked to each other in confusion. 

"Huh? That's weird, why didn't it work?" Goten said. "Yeah, didn't we do everything correctly?" Trunks added. 

"Almost, but not quite." Everyone looked to Whis.

"If I heard Shenron correctly, he said that five Saiyans need to share their power with one host. That would mean you need six Saiyans, not just five." Whis explained. Everyone's eyes widened, looking to each other in shock. "Six?! Ah crap, we don't have six Saiyans though! Where are we suppose to find another one?!" Goku said in a panicked tone. Before he could react any further though, Vegeta gave him a small punch in the shoulder to shut him up.

"Have you forgotten, we do have another Saiyan who could help us." he stated. Everyone blinked, momentarily confused....then I froze when all eyes were on me. 

"That's right! We have Zira here too!" Goku stated excitedly. I yelped, pointing to myself. "Me?! Uh, a-are you sure about that?! I mean, I don't think that would work too well!" I stated quickly. "But you're a Saiyan aren't you? Plus, you've got one of the purest hearts I know. There's no way it wouldn't work!" Trunks stated. I looked at Trunks surprised, taken aback by his compliment. However I still sighed, pushing some hair back behind my ear. 

"That's not the problem....my power....I can't use it. I mean, I technically can, but I don't think I should. It's....not normal." I explained. Many confused expression were sent towards me, but Goku continued to push me. "Please! We can't do this without you! Whatever you think is wrong, I'm sure it'll be fine! I really wanna try reaching this Super Saiyan God form, so can you pleas help us? Pleeeeaaaassse?" he said. I frowned, instinctively reaching up to touch my necklace. I traced the gem along the edges as I thought. I don't want to show off my power, but....it's not looking like I have much of a choice. 

I took one glance behind me to look at Lord Beerus. He narrowed his eyes sternly, silently demanding I do this. The friendly personality he had before was gone, I could see he was set on having his new opponent. I gave a small sigh. It would just be this time, right? Then we could put this behind us....

"....okay, I'll help you." 

"Yes!" Goku cried. I walked towards the back of the circle, and held hands with both Goten and Trunks. 

"You should know though, my Super Saiyan Form....it doesn't look the same as yours does." I said. This earned a couple of confused looks, especially by Gohan, however Goku seemed too excited to care. 

"Okay, let's try this again!" he stated. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Just like the others, I slowly let my power flow through me, and into the two Saiyan boys beside me. It wasn't long before they transformed into their Super Saiyan Forms. Soon enough, I transformed as well....my long hair turned from the dark blue into snow white. My black eyes changed as well, becoming beady red. Rather than a gold aura, like the others emitted, I started to emit a red aura, my hair flying behind me. Everyone looked at me in shock, especially the other Saiyans around me. 

Beerus and Whis especially seemed taken aback, eyes wide with shock. 

"What the hell....?" Beerus muttered quietly.

"Whoa, that's so cool!" Trunks stated. "Yeah! How come you look so different?!" Goten asked. "It's a long story. Now focus, we need to transfer as much power as possible into Goku." I stated. Both boys nodded and refocused on the Saiyan before them. With our combined power, a mixture of a gold and red aura started to form around us. Slowly, but surely, Goku's body started to glow a little brighter, and even began to float up a bit.

The strange light started to go higher and higher, into the Earth sky. Within a few moments gold clouds started to cover the blue sky, surrounding into a spiral like shape right above our heads. Within a few moments, the rest of us started to float above the ground as well, continuing to focus all our power into Goku. 

"Oh wow, my body is starting to feel a bit achey all over." Goku said. 

"You know, you're about to become a God. Maybe you should just stop whining. Or if you'd rather, I'd be more than happy to take your place, Kakarot." Vegeta stated. The aura around us again begin to change, now turning a light blue color. I gasped lightly as the power surged through my body and flowed through the others. I haven't tapped into my power like this in a long time. I forgot how much it overwhelms my body.

For a moment, the glowing stopped, and for a second I worried that the rirtual didn't work. However, the blue light returned, this time glowing brightly in the center, then turning into a beam of light that shot up into the sky. The light pierced a hole through the clouds, revealing outer space above us. The rest of the clouds started to intensify, almost forming a strange type of wall around the boat. That's when the weather would start to rapidly change; rain would fall for a few seconds, then it'd change to hail, then sun, and then to snow. 

Then the giant golden light above us glowed brighter than ever before. I gasped as I felt my body vibrate, feeling this strange power surge through my very core. I can only imagine how this feels for Goku. Speaking of, he finally started to transform; first his body glowed a bright golden light, then it swiftly changed into a bright red. And almost instantly, I felt all my power leave me, and I returned to normal, as did the rest of the Saiyans. Vegeta and Gohan released Goku, and the five of us started to float back down onto the ground.

We all stared up at Goku's glowing form, most of us left speechless.

"Kakarot did it...." Vegeta murmured. Beerus smirked.

"So, will I finally get to meet a Super Saiyan God?" he said. "It would appear so. It seems I was wrong about your premonition after all." Whis replied. Finally, after a few more moments, Goku finally lowered to the ground, and the sky returned to normal. Everyone gawked at Goku's new form.

He didn't look entirely different. His skin looked a little younger, and his black hair and eyes were now a piercing bright red/pink color. However, now I couldn't sense his energy anymore, just like Lord Beerus. In that case, it must've worked. 

Goku has now become a Super Saiyan God.
