Sorry for the slow update. I've been very busy recently and have been trying to find some spare time to continue writing. I will try and post more often for anyone reading this story.
(Eddie's POV)
Germany - Berlin
This is it! The first show of our tour kicks off in exactly 5 minutes. I take a last couple of sips of water as I try to keep my nerves from showing. The loud roar of the crowd comes to life all around Berlin's enormous Olympiastadion, as the timer appears on the large screen above the stage, counting down from 5 minutes. I feel fingers wrap around my left hand and grip it tight as Tori smiles at me anxiously.
"We'll be fine babe. We've both done tours before, so this will be a piece of cake" I say to her, trying to keep her confidence and spirits high.
"You're right baby. Let's just enjoy ourselves and give the people a good time!" she says as she perks up suddenly.
"I couldn't have put it better myself" I say as we both face forwards again, mentally preparing ourselves to face the thousands of fans waiting eagerly for us to appear. I glance around to see all of the backstage crew rushing to their places and making final adjustments to the stage and set, and before I know it, I hear the crowd begin to count down from 10.
"10... 9... 8..."
"Ready?" I ask Tori as I squeeze her hand.
"7... 6..."
"Definitely" I respond.
"5... 4... 3... 2... 1!"
The countdown ends, and the crowds scream as the back of the stage opens up as Tori and I walk through together, hand in hand. The band, which consists of a drummer, electric guitarist, and keyboard player, who are already set up and prepared on the stage, begin to play the intro music to our song 'Our Song', and we walk to the front of the stage where two microphone stands have been placed. The band drag the intro of the song out a little longer, in order for us to address our fans.
"Good evening Berlin!" Tori calls into the microphone.
"How are we all doing tonight?" I shout out as I remove the mic from its stand.
The thousands of fans in attendance cheer in unison, and I laugh in complete bafflement at the ridiculously large number of people here.
Tori gives me a quick nod, and I begin to sing the first verse of the song from our collab album, an album in which every song is a duet between Tori and myself, my third and Tori's third album overall.
"I'll be honest,
I'm alright with me,
Sunday mornings, in my own bedsheets,
I've been waking up alone, I haven't thought of her for days,
I'll be honest,
It's better off this way..."Tori then joins in with me as we both sing the first chorus.
"But everytime I think that I can get you out my head,
You never, ever let me forget,
'Cause,Just when I think you're gone, hear our song on the radio,
Just like that, takes me back to the places we used to go,
And I've been trying but I just can't fight it,
When I hear it, I just can't stop smiling,
I remember you're gone,
Baby, it's just a song on the radio,
That we used to know... "Tori's solo verse arrives next.
"I'll be honest,
I'm alright with me,
Sunday mornings,
In my own white tee,
I've been waking up alone, I haven't thought of him for days,
I'll be honest,
It's better off this way..."
