(Tori's POV)

"Babe, I'm home!" I call out to Eddie as I enter our house.

"I'll be down in a second Tori!" Eddie responds from upstairs.

I make my way into the kitchen to get a snack and to wait for Eddie.

"What are you doing up there?" I call out again.

I hear quick, heavy footsteps hurry down the stairs.

"Sorry babe, I'd just got out of the shower before you came in" Eddie says as he gleefully bursts into the room.

"Hey you. What have you been up to today that you need a shower? It's not exactly been the hottest day" I ask teasingly.

"Let's just say it involved an over excited fan catching me and Cat off guard outside the RPX studios and an oversized coffee spillage over me" Eddie chuckles half heartedly.

"Seriously? Are you okay, they didn't burn you did they?" I ask with complete concern.

"No no, don't worry babe I'm fine" he says, gesturing his hands in a 'calm down' motion.

I sigh in relief. The last thing I want is for Eddie to come home with more burns to add to the ones on his right arm. I still occasionally have horror flashbacks of that awful fire at Nozu when I look at those faint burn scars on his arm.
And yes, I get that coffee is different from a freaking fire, but it still got me worrying.

"Apart from the coffee spillage, how was your day?" I ask him after giving him a hug to show my relief.

Eddie tells me about their day together, spending a majority of it at the studio with Corey finishing the song completely. He tells me they got lunch together and that Cat was telling him about him about her upcoming album.

"Ooh, can I hear the new song?" I ask Eddie.

"I would love to play it for you Tor, but Cat's made me swear not to let anyone hear it until we're all together so we can play it for you and the rest of our friends together" he tells me.

Eddie then asks how my day with Jade has been, so I proceed to tell him what we got up to.

"Jade's got an entire room of horror collectables? Man, I need to go over to her new apartment soon" Eddie comments.

His surprised face amuses me when I tell him that I managed to sit through the whole of that Halloween movie, and his smile grows when I tell him about our conversation of comparing our friendship group to the Friends characters.

"Oh, I've just remembered something" Eddie says as he paces out of the kitchen.
He almost immediately returns with a large brown envelope in hand.

"Trina dropped by just after I got back and gave me this. It's got your name on it but it was delivered to her place. She said she would have stayed until you got home but she had to get ready for her date with Corey tonight" Eddie tells me, handing the envelope to me. My name is written with handwriting that I do not recognise, but I quickly rip it open.

Eddie takes a soda from the refrigerator and pops it as he watches me open the envelope.

I take out the contents and immediately feel faint. My knees begin to go weak, and my heart beats at a lightning pace. Mixed feelings of anger and betrayal flood through me. Eddie takes a sip from the glass of soda, and upon first instinct, along with the newly formed anger in me, I slap the glass from his hand, covering him in the fizzy drink while the glass smashes on the floor.

"What... the hell was that for?! I've just got out the shower and there's now glass everywhere!" Eddie complains as his face drips and his brows furrow in complete shock at my action.
