Before they knew it, they were standing in front of Room 308. (Y/N) knocked on the door, and her hand gripped the handle, before she opened the door.
"J-Jeremy?.."

The blonde was sitting up in the hospital bed, as he looked towards the opening door. "(Y-Y/N)?" He asked as he looked up towards the female that just entered into the room. He tried to move, but his actions were paused by the girl. (Y/N) put her hand on Jeremy's hand, to stop him from trying to get up faster than he was supposed to. "Don't-.. move." She said as she shook her head. The female had a soft smile on her face as she sat down next to him. "..I-I'm just glad that you're okay..Jer." (Y/N) said as she moved to pull her hand back.
Jeremy sat there, looking down at his own bruised and slightly scratched up hands. "I don't feel too bad, ya know?." He suggested while glancing towards her with his blue eyes. "That's good-.. You just need to chill out and get some rest. No jumping up and trying to show off. You hear me?" (Y/N) said in a stern tone, almost pointing a finger in his face. Jeremy just let out a light chuckle as he shook his head. "I hear you, I hear you, Miss Boss Lady." He said as he held his scarred hands up in defense to the female who was nagging to him, but about his overall well-being.After a while of further inspection, Jeremy was truly only working with a broken rib, and some minor bleeding. After being in the field for so long, Jeremy had figured that Ludwig's healing had altered his chemical make-up, to a slow regeneration effect. Once the doctors had given their medical advice, and giving Jeremy antibiotics for pain, he was ready to be released.
Once Jeremy was released from the hospital, (Y/N) was pushing him in a wheelchair, back towards the car that her sister, Francine, had used to drive them to the hospital. Francine heard the rear passenger door open, and she turned her head to see her younger sister, helping Jeremy into the car. "Now, I want you to explain to me, how you, OF ALL PEOPLE, managed to get by a car?" Francine had a rather unamused look on her face, as she raised an eyebrow. Once (Y/N) had got him all settled, she did make her 'She has a point' comment, while closing the door behind him. Making her way into the front seat, and a soft giggle left her lips. "Francine is right though. You're one of the fastest people on our team, and you got hit by a moving vehicle?" (Y/N) joked lightly as she glanced out the window.
"Do you want to be taken to your house, Jeremy?.." Francine asked as she turned the car on, and began pulling out of the hospital parking lot. Jeremy sat in silence as he looked out the window. "Yeah-.. You can just drop me off." He said as he leaned back against the seat. Music played the entire way back to Jeremy's place of residence. It was a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach, maybe it was because he was leaving (Y/N) once more.
"Do you-.. guys want to come inside?." He offered. "I won't be able to prepare anything but-.. I could at least order some take-out for dinner-.. or something. Since you both didn't get to eat much at the diner earlier-.." He looked up, and he saw the two females looking back at him. (Y/N) had a smile on her lips as she nodded. "Yeah. We'd like that. And you don't have to worry about paying. I got it, cripple." She said as she got out of the car, once Francine had come to a full stop and put the car in park in the parking spot. They got out of the car, and made their way to the front door of the residence, and made their way up the stairs. (Y/N) was helping Jeremy up the stairs, just to make sure there were no further injuries that the doctors could've missed.
- Jeremy's P.O V-
Once I unlocked the door, I pushed the door open and walked in, allowing the females to walk in behind me. Tossing my keys onto the desk by the door, and turning on the lights as I walked past the panel. "Well-.. This is my home sweet home." I announced, as I showed the rather empty looking pad, with a lot of boxes still packed up. (Y/N) looked up around the apartment, while she was curious about what was in some boxes, I was trying to figure out how to tell her how I feel. Even after getting hit by a truck, I feel like that is some sign for me to tell her exactly how I feel. I have to!
"(Y/N), I was wondering if I could um.. speak to you in the kitchen?.. It's a bit important." I managed to get out without stuttering to much, making myself look like an idiot. I then made my way to the kitchen, holding my temple as I continued to ponder about what I was going to say. "Fuck it-.. I'm just gonna have to say it-" I said out loud with my back pressing against the fridge.
"Say what-?.." (Y/ N) said. I didn't even realize that she walked in right behind me. I wasn't expecting her to even hear what I had said. "I-um.. well.." I then cleared my throat as I looked down into her (e/c) eyes. The ones that could be so fierce, and make even me, fall to my knees in submission. Those soft lips of hers that speak nothing but light into my world. "I-i.. um.." I still couldn't figure out how to say it. "I just wanted to let you know that I really do care about you." I started. My palms were sweaty, and I tried wiping them on my pants, but I also didn't want to make it super obvious that I was nervous.- (Y/N)'s P.O.V-
Once Jeremy had told me that he wanted to speak to me in the kitchen, I had followed him almost instantly, seeing that it was important for him to say. "Say what?." I said, when I heard him say something. He was probably speaking to himself. "Well I do know that you do care about me." I said in response to him saying that he cared about me deeply. I noticed that he was wiping his hands on his pants a bit more now, and I was starting to get a bit nervous as well. My thoughts began racing, as I took soft breaths. 'What if he's going to tell me that him and Francine are going out, and he was just trying to let me down easy-..' I thought to myself as I could feel the anxiety rising. My hands began fiddling with the hem of my shirt in worry, as the silence between us grew.
-3rd Person P.O.V-The silence between (Y/N) and Jeremy was too much to handle. Jeremy reached across and grabbed ahold of the female's hands, rubbing the tops of them with his thumbs. "(Y/N).. I really do care about you.. I talked to your sister and.. I don't want to be with her. I want to be with you. No matter how I look at it. You made that small period of time in the field worth every second of my life. I want you.. and no one else."
(Y/N) stood there, as she heard every word that Jeremy spoke out loud. "Y-you-.. You mean it?.." A soft mumble left her lips as she looked down at the hand-holding. The feeling of his thumbs rubbing gently on her hands seemingly becoming engraved in her mind. It was a feeling that was soothing as well as comforting. "I-i.. I want to be with you too, Jer." A soft relieved voice left her lips as she pulled him into an embrace. Laughter erupted from her as she held onto him, feeling his arms wrap around her body.
Jeremy laughed as well once he was pulled into the embrace. "Haha-..I'm just glad that we're finally on the same page about something-."
