Chapter 6

Josh's POV

Wait what did she say her name was?

"I-I'm sorry, what did you say your name was?" I asked. I feel my face start sweating.

"I-I said I'm Carly."
"Oh ok"
"Is that a problem?" She asks.
"No! No it's not! I just thought I heard you say something else. Would you like to sit?"
"Yeah, sure!"

We sit at the table Arnold and I sat at.

"So Carly, how long have you lived in California?"
"About 3 years. What about you?"
"Uh. About 8 years or so."
Carly nods her head.

"Are you single?" She asks with a smile.
"Ye-Yeah."
She smiles. I smile. She's beautiful.

"Can I get your number?" I ask Carly.
"Of course!" She whips out her phone
"It's 321-548-6610. I'll text you!" and with that, Carly gets up, and leaves.

I get up and leave, because why not. I get in the car, and put my seatbelt on.

"Josh" I hear.
I turn my head, but nobody is there.
"Josh"
I get out of my car, and see nobody.
"Joshua"
"WHAT" I yell
"Joshua" the voice sound so familiar.
Oh my god. It's Colleens voice.
I start to tear up.

"Colleen? Colleen I love you! I'll never ever forget you." I say crying.

I start my car, and pull out of the driving spot.

I arrive home in about 5 minutes. I set my keys down, and plop on the couch. Lily has been at Gwen's house for a few days, and it's been relaxing.

I hear my phone buzz, and I get a text from Carly.

C: Hey! It's Carly :)
I text her back almost immediately
J: hey Carly! It's Josh :)
C: Of course it's you!! Do you want to hang out tomorrow night?
J: Sure! Meet me at my house.
C: okay!

Alright Josh. Tomorrow night, Just you, and Carly. Lily doesn't need to be picked up till Saturday morning. That's 2 days from now. Everything is just fine.

EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE! This house is so empty without Colleen. I'm just sitting on the couch, scrolling through YouTube videos.

I come to one titled "Colleen Evans tribute RIP"
I click on it, and it's a video edit or one of those video things fans made for us.

The first video that shows up is the first video that Colleen and I made together. I remember that day. It was the day I fell in love. Then our engagement video played, and I teared up. Next the wedding video played. I just cried. I miss her so much. After the wedding video, a bunch of videos with me and Colleen, and me and Miranda played. Those were the days. The video ended, and I knew what had to be done.

I grab my camera, set it up in a good spot, and sat down. I pressed record, and just talk.

"Hey dingleberries. I know it's been a while, but I've just been a mess. We had the funeral for Colleen, and that's when I said goodbye for the last time. I just wanna say, life is short, so make the best out of it. I understand some of you are going through really bad times. Just keep your head held high, and don't let the negativity bring you down. I've been watching some of your Colleen tribute videos, and I'm speech less. You guys are so caring, and so helpful to me. I'll try my best to post some videos, but I'm just in a terrible time. Hope you all understand."

I don't even bother to edit, I just post it, and fall asleep on the couch.

(Next day)

I wake up on the couch at like 12:00 pm.
Oh my gosh I slept through half of the day.

I get a text from Carly
C: hey I'm coming over at 1:00 ok?
J: yeah that's cool!

I jump up from the couch, and sprint to the shower. I get out in 10 minutes, and shave my face.
Nice and smooth Josh, nice and smooth.
SNAP OUT OF IT!
I fix my hair, and get some clothes on.
I brush my teeth, and clean the house.
I find some candles, and light them, I notice what the candle says, and it was Colleens favorite scent.

At 12:58 I hear the doorbell ring. I open it, and it's Carly.

"Hey!" We say at the same time. We hug and she comes in.

"I love your house!" She says.
"Thanks"
We take a seat on the couch and talk for a while. We discuss our family, Hobbies, love interests, and just life. Carly is just like Colleen, a beautiful human being.

I think I'm falling in love.

(A/N- HEY YOOO. I haven't updated in forever omg! I've been really busy studying for exams, because my last day of school is TODAY! I'm finishing up my 8th Grade year, which means I'm going onto high school! When do you get out of school? And what do you plan to do over summer?)
