I Promise (sequel to Promise Me)

Chapter 8 (read a/n at end of chapter)

Josh's POV

I really love Carly. I think I'm gonna ask her to marry me. I know that this is really sudden, but I'm just in love with her. She's coming over today,again, and I think I'm gonna ask her.

She pulls into the drive way, and my heart pounds. I wait for her to knock, and I rush to the door.

"Hey cutie!" I say
"Hey handsome!" She says back
She's so beautiful
"Come on in!"
"Alrighty!"
We take a seat on the couch and just chill for an hour. I think it's the right time to pop the question.

I stand up and Carly does too.
"Just sit down." I say.
"Oh um ok." Carly says.
Carly, I know we've been dating for a few weeks, but I just can't take my mind off of you. You are beautiful, funny, and you're perfect for me. I have to tell you, I was married before. To a girl I was madly in love with. Her name was Colleen. We dated for 5 years until I proposed. We then had a girl named Lily. Lily was born with a heart problem, which caused Colleen to get a brain tumor. That tumor took colleens life. I was devastated. I thought I was never going to love someone again. Then I met you. You lifted me out of the darkness. You made my life 100 times better. So with that said."

I get down on one knee. Carly's mouth opens.
"Carly Mae Ballainjer, will you do me the absolute honor by spending the rest of your life with me, and will you marry me?" I open the ring box, and Carly is in shock.

She looks up at me and says,
"Yes of course!" I take the ring out and put it on her finger.
"Oh my god it's beautiful!" She says.
"Isn't it!" I say.
We stand up and kiss.
"I love you." I say
"I love you too." she says.
She's crying, and I feel so happy. I'm getting married (again). I'm so glad I asked Carly. I was afraid she was gonna say no. But thank god she said yes.

I just proposed, but I wanna get married right now.

As I'm sitting on the couch with Carly, I hear a voice in my head.
"I choose you. I'll always choose you."
It's me. It's when I proposed to Colleen.

"Is everything ok?" Carly asks
"Yeah." I say
"When should we start planning for our wedding?" Carly asks.
"Tomorrow I guess." I say
"Sounds good!"
"You wanna move into my house?" I say
"Of course! Now that we're getting married!" She says.
"I'll go home and start packing!" And with that, Carly gets up and leaves.

(2 hours later)

I'm making dinner, and I hear a knock on the door. I go to open it and I see it's Carly with 4 suitcases.
"Wow that was fast!" I say.
"Yeah, I can pack super fast." she says.
"Cool, I'll show you where to put all your stuff!"
I show her where the bathroom is, and where our bedroom is.
"Are you hungry? I'll make you something." I say
"Yeah! What are you having?"
"Some kale and salmon."
"Sounds good!" Carly says.
I go downstairs and start making Carlys food.

My life couldn't get any better
