After our morning devotion, I headed out to see a friend near by. I had showered and I looked decent. I said my byes to my sister since dad and mom already went to work earlier that morning.

I took a taxi, it was a one drop something so I got there just like I told Stephanie I would. Calling Stephanie on the phone, she immediately picked up. Her sweet voice hitting my phone speaker and to my ear.

"Girlfriendddd" she squeaks and I know she's covering her mouth already.

"I'm at the door"I tell her.

I came here to see my best friend but I'm not as excited as she is.

The door opens revealing stephs beautiful face, her Afro-curls neatly gelled and beautiful.

"Come in" she instructs, and I do.
She hugs me, pulling my hand and leading me to the kitchen.
I sat on one of the kitchen stools.

"You having a party steph?" I ask her, looking over the plates she arranged on the counter.

"Not really"She drags,shrugging.
"It's my boyfriends pre-birthday party" she shifts to stair the stew on the fire.

"And what's that" I sounded amused.

A pre-birthday really? I found it cute but burying my head and heart into relationships wasn't really my thing.

"A day or two days before the actual thing, come on" she rolls her eyes.

"Yeah,Yeah" I smile,looking away.

"You should open your heart to someone you know"
"It's not everyone that's like Luke" she raises an eyebrow.

"I'm done with he's memory right now,I just want to make some money" I cross my legs, passing her a plate.

"Mulla and no love is a total sum of mood swings" she tries to convince me, she always does.

"Not until the money becomes a person" I think out loud, imagining it.

"Selina..."she calls out and we both laugh our asses out.

"Buh for real, you need to move on"
"You've been like this for like whatnot?" Her questions rhetorical but I chose to answer.

"Two years" I shrug, leaning back.

She sighs giving up as she passes me a plate to have a taste of her delicious stew with garnished veggie rice.

Taking a full spoon into my mouth, I gently chew.

"Uhmmmm" I drag, as I watch her wait in anticipation.

"Not good is it?" She's doubting herself already.
"This is literally the best stew and veggie rice have ever tasted!" I beam, taking another one and chewing.

"Really" she quickly got a spoon to join me.

"Yeah,really" I answer chewing.

She takes a spoonful of her delicious home meal and her head immediately falls back.

"So nice" she closes her eyes still savoring the taste in her mouth.

"This is ready for serving" I praise her,
"When's the party holding again" I take another spoon of rice.

She checks the time on the clock in the kitchen.

"Oh my gosh, less than five minutes!" She tenses.
"Everything is done, the decorations and all"
"This the last thing that needs to be added to the menu" she tells me.

"Let's start this party then" I reassure her, jumping off the stool to help her get the dishes on the plate
