After hearing what the king had said to my father, i could not focus. Rhaenyra and Alicent tried their best to show me around but i couldn't tell you a word they said.
"And i think that's it. That's the whole castle. We're not allowed leave the castle grounds but there are many rooms to keep you occupied" Rhaenyra said with a soft smile.
I was looking through her as a million thoughts flooded my mind. "Azalea?" Alicent said but i still heard nothing.
"Azalea!" Rhaenyra said loudly snapping me out of my daze. "Sorry... What?" i asked. "That's the whole castle. You've seen everything."
"Oh... Right... Thank you both" i said with a weak smile. Alicent gave Rhaenyra a concerned look. "Alicent, it's time for you to return home, is it not?" Rhaenyra said as she gave her an eager look.
"Yes... It is. I'll see you both tomorrow for the Tourney" Alicent said. I gave Alicent a small smile as she walked away.
"We do have one more room to venture in. One i believe you'll like the most" Rhaenyra said with a smirk. She opened the large, wooden doors to the room infront of us that led into a gigantic bedroom.
"Oh my god" i mumbled as i looked around. The room was quite gloomy but i was in shock at how big it was. It had red curtains that covered a balcony overlooking the gardens and a queen sized bed with red bed curtains falling from it.
"It's beautiful" i said. "It is... And it's yours" she said.
I turned around as my mouth fell open. "Are you serious?" is all i could get out. She nodded. I tried to speak but nothing came out.
"It's not the biggest room in the castle but it's one of my personal favourites. I picked it out for you myself. My mother mentioned that you were named after a flower so i thought you would like the view of the gardens."
I laid down on the bed and laughed. Rhaenyra laid down next to me and laughed too. "Thank you, Rhaenyra... This is all so... Amazing."
"What is?" she asked. "The palace, you, Alicent... Everything" i said. That's when i remembered what i had overheard the king say to my father. I sat up in the bed and sighed.
"How do you do all of this? Keep this persona? Not make mistakes?" i questioned. Rhaenyra scoffed. "I don't. I'm just myself. This dresses help a lot though."
I shook my head. All of my dresses were handmade. The king would look down on me if i wore them. Rhaenyra noticed my mood change as she sat closer to me.
"You can borrow on of mine for the Tourney tomorrow if you'd like" she said. "Oh no... I couldn't really" i said.
"Oh come on. It's just a dress! I have many. Even though i do admire yours" she said. I rolled my eye's playfully. "That's humorous" i said sarcastically. "I'm serious!" she exclaimed. I laughed loudly as she joined in.
"Well i better go visit my mother. She's at the end of her pregnancy so she needs extra help. I'll come by in the morning and i'll give you a dress. Your brother and father are next door."
"Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow" i said as she stood up and headed towards the door. "Oh and Rhaenyra?" i called out.
She turned around in the door way. "What's a Tourney?" i questioned. Rhaenyra laughed. "It's basically watching a bunch of stupid men fight eachother on horses."
"Oh" i mumbled as i nodded. Rhaenyra smirked as she left. I laid back down on the bed and smiled to myself. I couldn't afford to make a mistake. It would cost us banishment forever and even death.
I wasn't going to make any mistakes.
Later that night, i knocked on my fathers door as he signalled for me to come in. "Hello father" i said as i sat next to his bed. "Azalea. How was your day?" he asked.
