Rupert took a breath before speaking to the guard.

“Fine take them to the guest room and treat them with our best hospitality, I will be with them with the governess.”

The guard nodded to Rupert with respect and left the room.

The werewolf guests were escorted to the guest room at the governor’s office. The vampires treated them with higher respect. The guests enjoyed the hospitality quietly.

The guest room doors opened and Rupert came in with the governess. She was a vampire with appearance of around fifty year old human woman. Any person who saw her for the first time had the knack to understand that she was an attractive person when she was young. Her face had a very strict look and she had bloody red eyes that startle anyone at first sight. Her black and white long dress made gave her a superior appearance.

The werewolves stood up from their seats and bowed with respect. The governess and Rupert did the same.

“Welcome to Lago de sangre, my dear Lycanthropes. I hope my servants did their job well” The governess spoke in a welcome manner.

Jerone smiled. “Yes governess Belinda, There is nothing to complain.”

“Please take a seat.” The werewolves in human form accepted her offer and sat down.

“Well let’s get straight to the point.” The governess started. “I believe we all know why we are here.”

“Yes, I received your letter governess and….”

“Please Jerone, call me Belinda.” The governess said while taking a sip of blood from the glass the servant offered.

“Very well Belinda, I was saying that I got your letter. First of all I would like to tell you that this is a false accusation.”

Belinda and Rupert remained silent. Jerone took a glance at the faces and continued.

“According to your letter it says that you have found an amulet with the crest of our sentinels. First of all we would like to see that amulet in our own eyes. I believe you can grant our wish my lady.”

Belinda turned to Rupert and gave a signal to go and get it. Rupert stood up and walked out of the room. Within few minutes he came in with a box and handed it over to Jerone.

Jerone opened the box and saw the amulet in it. He took it and gave it to his companions. The first werewolf examined it for a while and gave it to the other one. After both of them finished they gave the amulet back to Jerone who followed the same process like the other two did on the amulet. He brought it close to his face and finally looked at his companions once again and handed over the amulet to Rupert.

“The amulet belongs to our sentinels Belinda, there is no reason to lie about that, but we have to tell you that all werewolf sentinel arrivals and departures are recorded all the time, but for the past seven months not a single werewolf had came to Lago de Sangre, we have the facts to prove it if you wish.”

Belinda looked at Jerone’s eyes directly for a while and Jerone did not take his eyes off her.

“You are my friend for a long time Jerone. I would’ve definitely gone to the council if this Amulet didn’t belong to one of your people. But if you cannot prove our accusation is false. You know how harsh the consequences will be. Even I won’t be able to save you.”

Like always Jerone listened carefully without interrupting.

“I have a small request to you, but I am not sure whether you will accept it, this request will be a helping hand to your investigation, and of course this will be off the record.”
