Italics: Narration (Journal Writing)

At night, Nezuko is writing in her journal. When she finishes, she watches a sleeping Tanjiro carefully.

Urokodaki calls her, "Let's go."

Nezuko goes to Urokodaki.

"The Demon Slayer Corps has around several hundred members. It's an organization unknown by the government. Yet, it has existed since ancient times, and we continue to hunt demons today.

But as for who's leading the Demon Slayer Corps that remains a mystery.

Demons. Staple food: humans! They kill kill humans and feed on them. No one knows where they first appeared. Their physical prowess is remarkable. Wounds heal in a blink of an eye. Flesh is restored after being hacked off, and limbs can be newly regenerated. Some demons can shapeshift. Others have otherworldly powers.

They can be killed by sunlight or decapitation by a special sword. The Demon Slayers battle the demons with their own mortal bodies. Since they're human, their wounds are slow to heal, and, one lost, their limbs don't grow back!

Even so, they battle demons... to protect other humans." Urokodaki explained.

Nezuko and him went onto Mt. Sagiri to train again.

"I am a trainer. I train swordsmen. There are many trainers, and each of them train their pupils with their own regimen in their location.

To join the Demon Slayer Corps, you must survive the Final Selection process held on Mt. Fujikasane. Whether you're eligible for Final Section is up to me." Urokodaki explained the processes of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Nezuko nodded her head in understanding.

Later, Nezuko jumps over a tripwire, she's running down the mountain again.

"Ngh!" She jumps over the hook, successfully dodging it.

'Starting today, I'm going to keep a journal for Tanjiro. I'm descending the mountain again today. I'm going to train my hardest so I won't die during Final Selection.'

"Agh!" Nezuko huffs, running quickly.

A log swings toward her, she barely dodges it by ducking quickly, then she jumped over another tripwire.

"Ngh!" She pants.

'After repeatedly descending the mountain day after day, I'm starting to learn how to avoid most of the traps. It's because I'm much stronger now, and I'm even more adept at detecting scents than before.

Even so...'

"What the hell!?" Nezuko screams.

She sees small swords fling towards her quickly, she jumped out of the way. The swords stuck on a tree.

'... the traps keep getting more and more difficult. He may really want to kill me!'

The next day, Nezuko goes to descend the mountain again, but with a sword in hand.

'I made my descent down the mountain today, sword in hand, but the sword really hampered my movement.'

"Ah... Ahh!" Nezuko screams, getting caught in a rope and then gets thrown into the air.

'With the sword, I can't stop getting ensnared in all the traps!'

Nezuko practices swinging her sword.

"991! 992!" Nezuko counted.

'I swung the sword today. Well, it's not just today, I've been swinging the sword every single day now. After descending the mountain, I swing my sword until my arms nearly fall off.'
