A/N: I swear this is actually fluff, unlike that last one. Also, thanks to @blakesartpools for the help! Maybe I'll do a part 2?

Warnings:

"Is this our hotel?" Gov looked up from google maps to glance at Cali, who shrugged.

"You tell me, it's been a while since I've gone to a UN meeting." Gov shrugged and walked through the sliding doors, followed closely by California, Texas, Ohio, and Loui- one state from each of the regions of the US.

"Alright, guys, so tonight we have the welcome banquet at seven." Gov threw his bags down onto his bed. He looked over at the other states, who were squabbling over who had to sleep on the foldout couch instead of the actual bed, and sighed. "Why do I even bother."

"I want Ohio!" Texas shouted. "He's the only one who ain't gonna kick me in the side while I'm sleepin'."

"Aw, sha, I was just about to ask 'im," Loui grinned malevolently. Ohio smirked and sat down on the bed.

"You people are so petty." 

"Wow, thanks, Ohio," Cali muttered sarcastically. 

"Enough, you four!" Gov interjected. "Ohio, would you mind sharing with me instead? It'll keep these three on speaking terms with one another."

"Sure," Ohio said indifferently. "You ain't too bad."

"Alright, I call the couch, then." Cali said, grinning. "At least I don't have to bunk with any of you."

"Sha, why you puttin' me wit Texas? I mean, he ain't too bad, but he gon' kick my ass in the middle o' the night!"

"Damn right I would," Texas half-shouted. Gov rolled his eyes.

"Go get changed for the banquet."

Gov was sitting on his bed, reading. Next to him, Ohio was texting Indiana, presumably to update him on the flight out and what the hotel was like. Texas and Loui were playing cards, both of them in suits already. 

Out of the corner of his eye, Gov saw Cali step out of the restroom. He looked up and temporarily forgot how to speak. Cali was wearing a long, bluish evening dress, stylishly understated, with his hair combed out to the side. He was totally rocking it, too, and along with the heels he was wearing, he looked perfect.

"Cali? I've never seen you wear an evening dress before." Gov smiled slightly. "You look great." 

Cali blushed a little, but held his gaze confidently. Then he glanced at Texas and Loui, and burst out laughing. They were both staring, Texas with a slightly confused, slightly appalled look on his face, and Loui with a proud and enamored one. Ohio looked up, blinked twice, then smiled.

"Ope, wasn't expecting that, was you Tex?" Texas whirled around to him, his face reddening.

"Listen hear, ya heathen-"
