Chapter 11: The Vampire's Final Days

Several weeks had swiftly passed as we enjoyed exploring the rest of town. During this time, we got further acquainted with our Alter friends. We all learned that the two Alter schoolgirls lived in the same dorm and even floor. They were not even aware of this themselves. But they decided they would have to meet more often as they continued their friendship.

Athemyst and Mirabelle explained much of the curriculum taught at Etuvia. There were subjects such as Alter history, mathematics, and even sciences that Prima taught. On top of those subjects, there were also their own development studies involving their race. For instance, Athemyst would be learning magical studies for becoming a witch. Fufuchi were taught how to harness their beast energy. Mirabelle explained that she studied notes her father gave to controlling her draconic force.

Mirabelle's dragon studies interested us, so she explained several details of her studies. One was how a dragon's traits often told how much magical energy they could harvest. Though most of them did not differ from each aside from a few traits. Supposedly having wings meant she could harness about twice as much as the common dragon.

Next, she told us that she's been learning how to properly harness that energy. She can barely manage it yet but will be able to use her powers even in her human form. We were unsure what that meant, but it sounded terrific. I even saw Miranda jotting all of this info down. This was not information passed on anywhere outside the dragon's den, after all.

As for the potty department, there have been several changes. For those of us, potty training has improved at making it to the potty. I was near the point where I had just started out in diapers in October. Though it is still relatively easy to use my pants as a potty.

Conversely, Mirabelle and Athemyst had found it easier to go in their pants than when they first wore diapers. They had not used the potty since being changed, reminding me of when I started wearing diapers. Though Mirabelle has yet to start wetting the bed but jokes about what if she began. Regardless, one group has progressed while the other has regressed. Overall, we have developed a closer relationship.

Miranda had grouped the potty-training trial members together to discuss our current progress. "You have all done well in your potty training. As for Viki, you have done well in exploring the area. I would conclude that the trial for Alter exploration and potty-training to be passed."

The news caused us to smile, given it had been some work to regain our potty-trained status. I felt content with my sightings of the location and could see myself returning to visit.

"I regret to inform you all since you have met two new friends in town, but we will have to return by the end of the week."

"Aw," Abbey complained. We all had the same expression, and it was a sad thought, but as they say, every good thing comes to an end.

"Well," I started. "We can visit just about any time anyways."

"We'll have to make the next days extra fun!" Lana stated.

Miranda smiled at our declaration, "I am sure you can visit any time. Though it won't be difficult keeping communications with your new friends regardless."

We all agreed that even though we may be leaving, that did not mean forever for the time being. The friends we made here will always remain our friends.

"Can we visit that one café again?" Abbey asked.

"Yeah!" Lana agreed.

"I'm fine with that," Sharon agreed.
