Having everyone's eyes on us caused me to panic, and I couldn't move nor look at them directly. It took all I could to close my eyes and readjust my position and skirt. Seeing that Athemyst looked at us with a glare caused me to look down. On the other hand, Mirabelle appeared to look away with a sort of sad expression. Miranda seemed just about as panicked as we were.

Before I could say anything, Abbey stood up. "D-don't make fun of us!" She was our clear voice in these types of situations. Although she may be blunt with her answers, at least her point would be made. "We are doing our best to potty train!"

"Um," Athemyst looked back and forth. "Why you wear diapers? And not bedtime." Although Abbey clearly stated we were potty training, that idea must have been impossible to grasp for girls our age.

"W-well," I stuttered. "Like Abbey said...But we first started wearing diapers for some time..." I honestly couldn't say anymore nor grasp where to begin. It was the first thing I could think of, but I struggled to share more.

"We've worn diapers close to a year now," Lana continued where I left off. I was thankful she continued the story.

"We're potty training now cause of that," Sharon concluded the story. Though I realized now that our tale might have been too brief.

"I-I..." Athemyst looked down. "I-I don't know how to think!" She rushed upstairs. This was a valid reason to storm off after seeing distrust. I could imagine myself trying to escape accepting something that I thought may have been beyond strange or gross that my friends were hiding. But I know one thing I have learned thanks to diapers is not to judge anyone.

Tears showered down my eyes. Abbey's wailing could easily be heard a mile away. Lana and I started to cry loudly as Sharon quietly sobbed. Miranda wrapped her gentle arms around me, and I sunk in. I noticed Mirabelle still remained where she stood, not budging. But I didn't feel like trying to talk to her at this point.

"It is okay," Miranda consoled us. "It is okay! You do not need to be afraid. I can talk with Athemyst in a short bit if you would like me to. For now, I suggest we do something fun to forget about what has happened."

"Yeah," Abbey cried.

With tears in their eyes, Lana and Abbey did their best to pull out a board game. I grasped Miranda's hand, who still held me.

"I am worried what Athemyst might be thinking," I stated. It was difficult to make out where our friendship would go from here. "Can you keep an eye on her for me? I am worried she might take off running for home. If that does seem to be the case, will you help her back?"

"That sounds reasonable," Miranda smiled before turning upstairs. I could tell she must only be peaking in on the girl, given how quiet she moved. She stealthily returned with a shrug, "She's currently in your room reading for now."

"We should probably leave her be," Sharon suggested.

"I agree," I nodded.

"Very well. I will keep an eye on her for the time being then."

The worst had come, and I was unsure of what I could do to remedy it. I decided to leave the game enjoyment to my friends and prepare some sweets. Having something tasty and thoughtful always helped us feel better, and I sure hoped that it would make Athemyst feel more open to our group and remain our friend.

However, there was one other friend that I forgot about. I was alone in the kitchen getting the mixtures ready when I sensed Mirabelle's presence getting closer. She was moving rather stealthily, given I couldn't hear her approach. She was not on the ground but hovering towards me via wings when I looked in her direction.
