Calum's POV

*TWO WEEKS LATER*

I was sitting in the cafeteria at our usual table bouncing my leg up and down. The only sound that was coming from our table was Luke's chewing on some Doritos.

I turned my gaze towards him trying to get the attention. "So, have you seen any of the others today?"

He was far too busy stuffing his mouth full of doritos and playing subways surf on his phone to recognize my voice. I couldn't blame him though. Ever since the accident with Michael the group had split up and has been falling apart. Michael didn't talk to anyone, Brianna was ignoring Ashton and Maria, and Maria was ignoring Brianna.

Suddenly, a loud thud came from the table signaling that someone had sat down. When I looked up, I saw that it was Brianna.

"Hey." She greeted with a stern voice as she bit down on her chicken sandwich.

Luke immediately snapped his head up and smiled towards her.

I felt bad for kinda ignoring the rest and I knew Luke did too, but michael wouldn't talk to anyone and Maria had been so distant. Instead of coming in to the cafeteria for lunch she would spend her time in the library studying.

"Where's Michael?" I tried to talk to Brianna but it was hard. She was clearly mad or hurt about something and she was always ignoring me when I tried to talk to her about the rest of the group.

She rolled her eyes at me. "Where do you think? He's out smoking. He hasen't done anything else for the past two weeks."

"Well yeah." I nodded. "I know." *

Silence fell over the table again. I had no clue what to say. I felt so bad for Michael and I never got a good explanation about Maria and Ashton but apparently Ashton had a crush on her. I knew Brianna was madly in love with Ashton but what I didn't understand was why Maria would be with him instead of Michael. I remembered how she had acted the night when everything happened. She clearly had feelings for him... So why did she ruin a 4-5 year relationship with Michael? And why was she ignoring Brianna? Nothing made sense to me and Luke hasn't been too much help latley so I felt like I was alone trying to bring the group back together.

After a while of silence, Luke finally spoke up. "So, are we still going to the mall after school? I need to pick up my new amp."

We both turned our head towards Brianna. Since the three of us had basically left the group, she had automatically become sort of the leader of me and Luke. I didn't mind and I knew Luke didn't since he was so lost in her.

"Yeah, sure why not?" She shrugged. "I don't have anything else to do."

The bell rang and we all got up to throw away the rest of our uneaten lunch and head to our classes.

This day could not be any longer. At least it's my last class of the day.

As I walked into the classroom, I spotted Michael sitting alone in the back row, staring out of the window. I was shocked that he even showed up and I didn't know what to do. I decided to walk over to him and sit down.

"Hey Michael." I greeted with a smile.

His head snapped up and he looked at me like I was unrecognizable to him.

"Uh, mind if I take this seat?"

Michael stayed silent as he shrugged. "Just leaving anyway."

With that, he got up and walk right out the door.

Fucking great.

As I sat waiting for the class to fill up with students, I spotted Ashton walking in the door. He was looking around for a spot to sit when his eyes stopped at me.
